You Can’t Stay Home From Seminar and Work!

They Want you at SEMINAR SO BADLY that they are willing to SHAME you if you work YOUR BUSINESS!

In case you don’t believe the Veteran Consultants and Directors on Pink Truth about WHY you will be badgered endlessly to attend Seminar, let us investigate this NSD Document

Myth: I just need to stay home and work.
(Now this is labeled a MYTH by your Nationals because she is about to show you where your thinking is skewed – aren’t you lucky?. You thought you needed to make money instead of spending it, but you are wrong!)

When evaluating the BIG 4 (Seminar, Career Conference, Fall Retreat and Leadership), The biggest MYTH OF ALL is: I don’t need to attend, I just need to stay home and work. People who say that need more money or have a lack of money.

(Uh Yeah we have figured out that all the Power of the “Friends of Time” Dance and Singing Troup won’t change the fact that MK is an overpriced product that sells well on eBay but not from Aunt Agnes’s living room.)

That is a result not from lack of work but from thoughts about their work. (No, lack of work would be it. And thoughts about lack of work are verified every Monday night when whatever consultants show up for meeting have a grand total of $418 in sales between them!)

They have had plenty of opportunities to work but their work has not produced results. (Now we’re getting somewhere.) Everything begins with thoughts. Thoughts then create action and action creates income, not work. (Hmmm, like the Action of holding a facial, instead of the action of sitting on my beads in DALLAS with no one to book?)

I remember vividly the turning point day in my leadership when I came to this realization. I actually said out loud to NSD Sue Kirkpatrick ” I know I could do what you do if I knew what you knew. I understood that day I couldn’t be a NSD until I thought like a NSD. I knew that above all else I needed to attend every thing I could so I could learn to think differently. (Shoot girl.. I can tell you how a National thinks – you don’t have to go to DALLAS to learn that! Nationals think I gotta raise up more Directors by “BY-passing” My DEAD DIRECTORS, who are in too much debt to think abundantly, and get to their Movers and shakers! If I tie them to ME, I might have a chance of bonding better with them and encouraging them to get to the SUIT! After all..I need more hamsters on the wheel if I am ever gonna show up Peterson, Sunden or Mayfield or Weigandt! Fill in with your Favorite National.)

Even if the funds came from my family or I had to do without something personally, events took priority over everything else. (This is the part where we ignore the OTHER Mary Kay saying about God family career, right?)

Staying home, driving the same roads, eating the same foods, listening to the same people, looking at your life through the same eyes does not create more income. (No, but it sure doesn’t create more DEBT EITHER!)

No one in the history of my national area has ever stayed home and made more money. (And how would you know that? If their heads clear they may have quit for a real job and made a TON more)

In fact time and time again those who believe this isn’t a MYTH move further and further down scoreboards and provide less and less income to their family. That is a fact not myth. ( No doubt! Cause by the time you figure out that SEMINAR is for massive brain washing that you PAY FOR, you are less and less susceptible to the message and less and less willing to drag any other women down with you. Let’s just say, less income FROM MARY KAY. )

ANALYSIS: Mary Kay Sales Directors and Nationals are dependent on the recognition game and choose to pretend that those ribbons hanging from their name tags represent honest effort. Nothing could be further from the truth for the vast majority. Seminar is a Celebration of FRAUD. Please remember that ZERO RETAIL SALES RECORDS ARE RECORDED. In order to be able to perpetuate the fraud, you have to be sufficiently DAZED and Mind numbed by applause, beaded gowns, late night spiritual songs and cheap prizes. It is in fact a MYTH that you will gain anything of value at all from Seminar, except who not to room with next year.

The parade of consultants showing off their achievements while crying inside from the mountain of debt they are buried under is no cause for celebration. Manipulating women into lying to look good is a tragedy of epic proportions, and applauding Year End Awards for SALES Achievement is the biggest Myth of all!

    I appreciate the efforts you guys at Pink Truth continually put forth. If I hadn’t found this site I wouldn’t know the real truth. Because of this site I was aware that I would be pushed at this June month end. I expected it. I am inactive right now. I have not turned in my first qualifying order. My recruiter was in DIQ when I signed up in April. Needless to say she didn’t make it to Director and is down to a Team Leader again. She is tenacious and drives people crazy. I know they are hiding from her.

    The unit I am in is number one in our State and has been for several months. If it wasn’t for this site I might think that they were really selling that much product. Because of the things that I have learned, it is evident in our monthly newsletter that they are front loading. I even suspect that one of the new Directors added 3 or 4 relatives in her last month of DIQ to make the cut. Our seminar year unit goal is $500,000 retail. I am sure this is to keep the Senior’s caddy at “free” status. We are $6600 wholesale away from this goal as of yesterday. So close! My recruiter sent me an email with a bank that is trying to increase their business in our state. They are giving away signature loans between 1500-2000. I guess to anyone that walks in the door. (They must have studied the Mary Kay marketing plan at Harvard.) She included all their locations and phone numbers. Of course, this is to order my inventory and use the rest to go to seminar. The biggest party of the year. I have not responded. I don’t even think it is worth it to respond. And in true Mary Kay fashion God was dropped numerous times in the email.

      “Our seminar year unit goal is $500,000 retail… We are $6600 wholesale away from this goal as of yesterday. So close!”

      I hate the subtle manipulation that is embedded in figures like this. The goal is in ‘retail’ but the tally is in ‘wholesale.’ Do you see how the enlargement of the goal and the diminishment of the remaining tally makes it sound like the tally is much closer than it really is?

      If this were to be presented clearly the SD would say, “We are $6600 away from our goal of $250,000″ or “We are $13,200 away from our goal of $500,000.”

      Or, more precisely, the SD would say, “I am $6600 away from MY goal of $250,000.” Because it profits the ISDs and the DICs not one single farthing to be in a unit with a big goal. Are you listening, lurkers? When your unit places big orders to meet an SD’s goal, it HURTS your personal business!

      Every inventory order dollar your SD rakes in to make Seminar goal means there is that much more lipstick and mascara and lotion flooding your local market, when you are still haven’t sold what is already sitting in your closet. Oh yeah, let’s just flood the IBC’s stores with even more product and see if that will help. Let’s just increase the number of people who are frantically advertising on CraigsList to sell their product for 25% or 50% or 75% off just to get cash to make their loan payments.

      Your SD’s Seminar-goal-driven market glut makes it that much harder for you to run YOUR business and sell at full “suggested retail price.” And she makes it that much harder for your recruits to succeed, too, when they figure out they can’t sell at a profit either.

    Yep, there will be more fraud perpetrated on women in the next 7 days than can be believed. And in case you wonder why 7 days, they have the first 5 of July to “fix” the orders that were declined on intouch…you know, those star orders assigned to new recruits who don’t know it yet.

    These last few days of June were ALWAYS the worst days of my MK “career” as we raced around hooking ANYONE who would listen…and dealing with month end stress from looking for “space” on cards to “finish” our “goal”. I use quotes because NONE of it was real…and NONE of it will be explained in detail on July 1st…

    It was always just that MIRACLE of GOD that came thru on the last day!!! WHooppee.

    We were taught that momentum was everything and nobody wanted to be in a Unit that wasn’t achieving! So better give the appearance of achievement!! SSSSS TTTTT RRRRR EEEEE TTTTT CCCCC HHHHH

    Always loved how that stretch word really meant borrow another card.

        Keyta- if you’re waiting for that order to go in under your name- why don’t you just call Corp in the morning and cancel your consultant number? That would end that threat completely. Just a suggestion. :)

          That’s a good idea. I had been staying with it for personal use; but I can buy just as cheap on ebay. If I keep my consultant number they will always be after me as a potential victim.

    Yuck! Saw one of my FB friends liked this post on Pam Waldrop Shaw’s page yesterday. So glad that’s in my past!

    More victories will be had within the Mary Kay world in the next 72 hours than have been had in MONTHS collectively. Today is the day you make your choice. You will WIN or ‘not’ by the decision you make. ONCE your mind is clearly made up, you’re free to go and create your victory, and the flood gates of support open up. AND if you don’t have a goal, FIND ONE! FIND a win! FIND a victory! Success is a habit (and so is failure)! Pushing to achieve or letting yourself off the hook is a character trait. There are no promotions for the ‘tentative, safe, guarded, selfish, procrastinating, excuse-making’ player. Fair or not, victories go to the courageous and brave, the determined and hard-working, the visionary and the committed. If you were the former yesterday, you can be the victor today by your persevering tenacity and choice of attitude and mindset! OH to know the THRILL of victory! Praying on the greatest sprint of your year!

    I didn’t find this site until the end of August, but I’m friends with one of the million dollar directors on FB, and her feed was FILLED with insanely positive and goal oriented posts leading up to the end of June. Looking back now, my heart breaks for what her downline must have been pressured into.
