Get Over the Pink Truth

A critic gives us some of the same old talking points:

Seriously. You women who have felt this way maybe Mary Kay wasn’t for you. But you can’t speak for everyone. The products are awesome and they are backed up with guarentees…

And to those of you that dedicate your lives to the ‘pink truth’… you obviously have no life. Get over it. You may be telling the truth and hitting the facts, but for those of you that it didn’t work you either didn’t try hard enough or you didn’t listen to what had worked for other women in he past 50 something years.. its not for everyone!!! But don’t put others down because you didn’t make your goals… the products sell themselves. You don’t have to be a director to make money!!!!! But if you choose to that’s up to you.

Exactly how many of those $70 sheet masks have you sold? And 3D sets? Since “they sell themselves”, I’m sure your business is booming.

Did you know you could have healthcare benefits and paid time off by working at Hobby Lobby for $15/hour? That’s $30,000/year. You’re lying or fooling yourself and trying to get others to believe you when you say you can make really good money just selling the product.

Did you do the Court of Sales last year? Then, you profited less than $20,000/year. Not everyone does the Court (the majority don’t), but that’s a clear, clean indicator of how much you sold and possible GROSS profits you’d made.

Honey, you make YOURSELF look pitiful saying that we have valid points, facts, and truths on here, yet we “didn’t work hard enough”. That’s proof you’ve been essentially brainwashed into thinking all things MK are prefect when they’re not, not, not.

    Just stop!

Let’s use some context to try to knock sense into this idiot of a “critic”.

A critic gives us some of the same old talking points:

Seriously. You women who have felt this way, maybe Harvey Weinstein wasn’t for you. But you can’t speak for everyone. The perks after forced sex are awesome and they are backed up with guarantees…

And to those of you that dedicate your lives to the ‘MeToo movement ’… you obviously have no life. Get over it. You may be telling the truth and hitting the facts, but for those of you that didn’t agree to sex and get movie jobs, you either didn’t pump hard enough, or you didn’t listen to what had worked for other women in the past 50 something years.. sex in exchange for advancement isn’t for everyone!!! But don’t put others down because you didn’t make your goals… good sex sells itself. You don’t have to be a sex addict to make money, a simple blow job will do!!!!! But if you choose to romp all night, that’s up to you.

POINT! Don’t criticize advocates against harmful, exploitive acts. It’s not very becoming of a lady and doesn’t say much about your character.

    1. Still Breaking The Basic

      Hi Critic,

How much money are you making for your director?

Not that much? Do you have any idea what she says about you behind your back?

The product sells itself? Have you trained your product to ring doorbells, cold call and email people?

What are “guarentees”? I couldn’t find it in the dictionary. Unless I didn’t try hard enough.

Hundreds of women exploited by an mlm for decades and we’re the ones who should keep allowing it. First of all why haven’t I ever seen MK advertised in any main stream magazine or even on television? Why do entire units change in the blink of an eye? Dual marketing is a misnomer which was created so we wouldn’t avoid this cult decades ago. We all knew that Amway was an mlm. We trusted this cult when it used Christianity, Slogans and made up statistics. The fact that many consider this to be a numbers game should be unsettling to most. Focusing on recruits and front loading simply means it’s not about actually selling products. There are far too many products and they change constantly to the detriment of ordinary women and ordinary families. Open houses don’t work, no one wants to attended those dated useless MK skin care classes. Skin care…now that’s rich. Just about every consultant and Director cannot actually do make overs because they are NOT qualified. Hundreds of women have lost out financially, from being away from family and by coming close to or actually ruining marriages. So continuing to expose this scam like any other telemarketing scheme, those of us who lost financially simply want to make sure no other woman falls for the 90% buy back. In reality there is always some ridiculous reason why the company won’t always give back the 90%. Directors string IBC’s along so they stay past one year and lose out. At any rate seminar, career conference and even weekly meetings are just ways to pressure women into buying products that mostly never sell. Letting women know the lies about Directors salaries, co pays for MK cars and that most directors checks and unit production are bogus. In addition the raffles and ridiculous guest make overs are only the beginning of manipulating and deceiving women. We write to protect women and families from bankruptcies while chasing a fairy tale equal to the one told by the Wizard in Oz.

Isn’t it amazing that someone who is a “direct seller” supposedly in the “sales business” can be convinced that recruiting their own customers, thus creating their own competition, is somehow beneficial to them? ROTFL

MLM company founders have taken that ridiculous concept, convoluted it, added double talk, given a few compliments, made up fancy titles, renamed buyers, and told big fat lies, to become the white collar crime of the century. All the while they, corporate, are laughing all the way to the bank!

Worst part, yet the most clever: Corporate has convinced others to repeat the ridiculous lie for them. Some willingly, some ignorantly.

To PinkVictim, I’m not the OP, but to answer your question about who the Mary Kay “kult” is not for, it is not for:

    Professional victims
    Cry babies
    Wusses
    Small minded/can’t see big picture
    Thin-skinned
    Quitters
    Worker bees/drones
Worried about what everyone else thinks
Those who have other options and quitting is easy

When you have nothing else to lose, you WILL work your MK business or ANY other legitimate direct sales company business like your life depends on it – because it does.

    1. TRACY

Huh. How would you explain my great success with my real business then? MK was not for me, so I must have been a cry baby and a quitter. Why am I so successful in a real business?

    2. Lazy Gardens

“Small minded/can’t see big picture” …
the BIG picture of MLMs is that Most Lose Money. It’s an elaborate scam to transfer money to the founders and the few at the tippy top from the masses at the bottom.

      “Thin-skinned” …
Professional victims, Cry babies, Wusses, Small minded Thin-skinned Quitters are all your adjectives aimed at us. Obviously something on this website triggered you into a fit of defensive aggression.

      “Quitters” …
The Donner Party didn’t quit. What did that get them? Mostly dead and partly eaten and a bronze plaque at the site of their demise. The group that quit and took the usual route had a 100% survival.

      “Worker bees/drones” …
That’s me! I unabashedly love working in a real team on a real project where everyone has a part of the whole effort that is something they and only they can do for the team. None of this cookie cutter “team” full of clones of the upline all doing the same thing and trying to replicate themselves like a cancer in the community.

You know that phone you spend your hours on, trying to sell cosmetics, trying to recruit clones to increase your commission checks? I helped build that. The Internet you used to get to this site to insult us or to get to the “social media” you infest. I helped build that, too.

“Worried about what everyone else thinks” …
May I ask who is on this website, fiercely attacking us for thinking that Mary Kay is an MLM and not a real business? Why are you worried about what we think? Why are you worried about the data we post?

“Those who have other options and quitting is easy” …
Having other options, like a real career with a real employer who pays REAL REGULAR paychecks is wonderful. The security of knowing that whether the project is cancelled or succeeds, I’ve been paid (and paid extremely well) for all my worker bee hours. And that my stock bonuses and retirement accounts can’t be taken away from me. And that I have the skills to find another job, and the maturity to realize that there is no job that is “beneath me” if it pays the bills.

“When you have nothing else to lose, you WILL work your MK business or ANY other legitimate direct sales company business like your life depends on it – because it does.”
And here we have it, don’t we. Someone convinced you to “go for it”, to burn the bridges and stake your all on Mary Kay. If it’s your only source of income, you realize how fragile that team and downline is, how fast you have to keep that hamster wheel of recruiting and production spinning to stay one step ahead of losing your team.

Obviously it’s not going very well or you wouldn’t be here.

    3. D,

‘m sure you can tell me which one of your outdated scripts you use to screen out all the professional victims, cry babies, wusses, etc. No? That’s right, YOU DON’T HAVE ANY. Your old, stale scripts are for overcoming objections in an effort to recruit anyone with a pulse and a credit card.

So, in your way of bee-lieving, a product-based pyramid victim has to lose everything before they WILL work their business…? Kind of like having a gun to your head, eh?

Victim shaming contempt oozes from your comment. It’s the Mary Kay way.

  5. Char

Allow me to put this in the right context for you:

“When you have nothing else to lose,” why not try hooking? At least it might make you decent money if a nice pimp recruits you. And don’t forget your own words. Don’t be a wuss, cry baby, thin skinned, quit, small minded, or worry about what everyone else thinks about it. Your fellow hookers and pimps will no doubt support you.
