How to Become a National Sales Director

Almost no one gets to the status of national sales director in Mary Kay. No matter how hard a director works, her chances of gathering the number of women needed to get to national are extremely low. It’s a system designed for women to fail.

As with most of the “advice” in Mary Kay, this piece is thin on substance. It essentially says that you can get to NSD by asking enough women to join  you in MK. Make them feel special. It feels manipulative. And there is nothing here that will actually help you advance in Mary Kay.

Everyone who becomes a National Sales Director had to start at the beginning, right where you are now. A lot of the success you will have comes from gathering team members, and inspiring others to follow YOU!

Here are some words that will help you!

“I have decided to go to the TOP of this company, and I will be promoting 10 women into management. I want to take you with me. There are two tracks in Mary Kay. One is the Selling Track, which I am sure you are familiar. But we also have the Leadership Track, for Directors. That is where I see you. You would be a great Director. Somehow I just don’t think that the Selling Track is enough to hold your interest, or am I wrong?….:

“Great, let’s get you a kit. Do you want it shipped to your house or to work?”

“Great, let’s get you a kit. Do you want to pay for it with a check or creditcard?”

These are my very favorite closes, because it ASSUMES the close, instead of saying, “Is there any reason why we can’t send in your agreement today?” ( “yes, major fear!)

If you ask enough people, you will have all the team members you need. But what’s more, with the above technique, you will have people who will be selling and recruiting because they want to be Directors too. That is how you build a strong group!

Ask God to bless your business, and He will. He will put the right people in your path.

Great. just get you undressed. Do you want to screw on the couch, the floor or in bed?

These are my very favorite closes, because it ASSUMES I’m going to get laid, instead of saying, “Can I call you tomorrow?”

“… and I will be promoting 10 women into management.”

Wait a minute. Don’t you promote yourself in Mary Kay? You’re president of your own company, right? So how can someone else promote you into management if you’re already there?

Or maybe we just caught a Mary Kay NSD indirectly admitting that you’re not really president of anything.

By the way, if she’s promoting you into management, does that mean she’ll be assigning orphaned consultants to your downline? No?

    Don’t hold your breath.

She’s just trying to push you into DIQ before you have a customer base big enough to exploit… err.. harvest. That practically guarantees you’ll fail, and SHE will harvest your DIQ recruits into HER downline.

Manipulate, cheat and steal. It’s the Mary Kay way!

PW – I’m not sure why you linked that article. It has nothing to do with NSDs.
NSDs are not CEOs of anything.
In Canada, 40% of the NSDs earn less than $100,000.
Mary Kay is not Fortune 500.
Mary Kay Corp. is run by all men. (How empowering.)
Comparing women who run Fortune 500 companies to women who run a pyramid scheme is apples to oranges.
