Pink Truth Women Are Bitter

Another love note from the pink cult:

This site is scary, to say the least. Wow… these women are so bitter. Why don’t they just move on? Mary Kay is not the devil and not all of the women involved in MK are mindless robots.

I do not sale MK, but I do use the products and have friends that sale. They love it and have had wonderful experiences. I showed them this website and they seemed very shocked. None of these women could relate to the stories. The women I am referring to are not backwoods, gullible, followers who believe everything and anything they are told. Two of the three women have college degrees and one of them has a master’s degree.

I think the women who should be scolded and reprimanded are not the women involved with MK, but the idiots who didn’t have enough backbone and common sense to not be peer pressured into debt and buying things they didn’t want. Just because some of the women were, at best, fools don’t mean the other ladies are going to make the same obviously ridiculous choices.

Let ALL women on this site be able to speak their opinion without the repercussion of verbal abuse or re-title the site, “if you don’t share my miserable experience, you are an idiot.com LOL. I crack myself up.

Ummm….are 8th graders now writing in to PT?

And, hun, you’re fooling no one. You definitely “sale” MK. Next time, please use proper grammar, spelling, and manners.

omg this. A million times, this. I don’t understand how it became so prevalent that people now confuse “sell” with “sale”.

I don’t believe you showed PT to anyone who “sales” MK, but even if you did, they’re all fogged to the point that they’d lie to you and say they couldn’t relate. Of course they would! In MK, you’re never allowed to be “negative”. Book, sell, book, recruit! Negativity doesn’t secure recruits. 😉

    – Calling out scams and scammers is not bitter.
    – No one said “all” MK consultomers were mindless. It’s a very well-oiled scam that many types fall for.
    – Are you paying double retail? What a waste. Buy on eBay and save yourself some money.

“I think the women who should be scolded and reprimanded are not the women involved with MK, but the idiots who didn’t have enough backbone and common sense to not be peer pressured into debt and buying things they didn’t want.”

Just how do you think MK stays in business and debt free?

Someone’s making assumptions that we here don’t have graduate degrees or are not smart business women…A con arises from deceptive relationships mixed with false information, and emotional manipulation. Throw in religion and you could be an MIT grad and still be duped. I didn’t get my degree from MIT but went to grad school at a similar Tier1 University.

I think someone should “sale” you some grammar classes. Of course none of your friends admit there’s a problem! I denied it, too, because my commission check DEPENDED ON selling the dream. If I admitted there were problems, people would’ve quit or never signed up.

Note that I used the correct word above. So much for being “mindless”, huh?

When I became a consultant and searched about Mary Kay, I came across PT and thought the same thing. I thought these women were bitter, that they had bad experiences and are now negative women trying to burst everyone’s bubble.
I became a director in June 2019 and debut on stage in July 2019 in Texas. And after the seminar, I terminated my contract. These women here in PT are right.
The area I was a part of are all Latina women, and it doesn’t matter the ethnicity, it’s all the same, the stories I hear here are my story. And at the moment I don’t have the strength, or how to face those women I had encouraged to be in MK, that I had lied to them. I lied because I thought it was true, but I was repeating the lies I was told. Until…. I realized everything was a lied, I’m still grasping that, how did all this happen? The only person that knows all this is my mom, boy, was she surprised, because I had her fooled too.
I am a single mom. 30 years old. I have a bachelor’s in Finance, and I did not give up my full time job for MK. I’m glad I didn’t. I was one of those that close Directorship quickly, because I consider myself ambitious, but I can’t believe I was fooled, I thought I was too clever, that I am not easily fooled. But for me this has been a bit traumatizing, because that means that my friend, who was my senior Director fooled me. And ughhhh…everything is still painful….. I’m just trying to overcome this day by day.

Sorry for that! I am a black woman who was in a mostly black area, the one with the magic zipcodes, I am so glad that I am not warm stalking people anymore.

We are all here for you if you need an ear

Please don’t beat yourself up as scams are designed to fool you. Otherwise, it would be just a blatant robbery. Look at all the brilliant people who were scammed by Elizabeth Holmes. (One reason I posted about her the other day, as some very smart people were duped.)

Yep, that whole “repeating lies” is so frustrating. It goes well with MK not wanting you to do research. See how the scam tactics slowly reveal themselves. Also, saying “2+2 does not equal 5” is not negative or bitter like MK wants you to believe. It’s just fact.

Welcome to the world of truth tellers.

When NSDs are admitting they don’t have friends outside of MK, a huge red flag is waving.

Do not minimize the experience of the women on this board. A lot were multiple Cadillac drivers, directors, etc. Just BECAUSE you don’t think it happened, doesn’t mean it didn’t. Did you just come over here to “troll” and tell everyone on here they are bitter? A lot of deceit, lies, and manipulation was used on these women and they were taught to do the same. INTENSE pressure is applied to order, bc after all, you can’t sell from an empty wagon. Which, is a lie. Most of these women, while in MK, were told don’t look at this site. Some did anyway and found that what was being said and talked about resonated with them. They have moved on, they just want to warn others about MK tactics, the tricks and lies used and the manipulation. This is a board of healing for those who felt betrayed by MK and its deceitful practices. Some of the posters on here were even spouting some of the stuff that you say in your paragraph. I don’t think anyone deserves to be scolded or reprimanded. Did you know at MK “free” training and meetings, that if you are a “Negative Nelly” that you are scolded and reprimanded and that they want you to do stupid things like hold a stuffed skunk for “stinking thinking” or a rubber chicken for being negative. Great way to motivate someone, when the IBC was just bringing up legitimate concerns that they couldn’t get bookings to hold, they were having trouble moving product, etc. It is all smoke and mirrors and IBCs are trained to say when you ask, how is your business going and the answer is always, “great”, doesn’t matter if they are about to file bankruptcy, can’t move the product, etc. Don’t believe everything your girlfriend MK IBCs tell you, and if you know 3 IBCs, isn’t that an indication to you that the market is saturated w/consultants for overpriced, subpar products? I would rather go to Sephora or the Clinique counter and NOT be pressured to be an IBC. You may crack yourself up, but you are not cracking the ladies on this site up. You are uninformed and all the “trolls” that come on this site just want to tell everyone just how wrong these ladies are. These ladies are from ALL areas of the country and the experience and lies and deceit are the same. MK is aware of it, doesn’t care, as long as the IBC BUYS the product, MK doesn’t care what happens to it, unless someone who was an IBC tries to sell it on ebay or some other site. MK doesn’t track ACTUAL retail sales. As long as the IBC gets it, then it is sold, until someone decides to take the buy back option that was promoted when the recruiting began, but the PRESSURE that is applied to the poor IBC once the director has been notified that the IBC wants to take advantage of the buy back. MK lets the director know, then the director puts INTENSE pressure on the IBC NOT to send back product, b/c you know the director will get a charge back. You really have no idea how this con is constructed. Go promote how great you think MK is elsewhere. These ladies are not bitter, just more savvy now and want to STOP the MK abuse.

How to not be taken seriously:
    1) Mix up “sell” and “sale” – although I’m sure many will be soon running “sales” to try to “sell” all of their products that just “sale themselves.”
    2) Demean people from rural areas (backwoods, gullible, easily fooled) as though a lack of formal education makes someone unworthy of respect. Given how many people I see selling MLM products (even with their advanced degrees), it would appear that the scam runs deep and effectively.

  7. ThePatientWhisperer

I’m glad she cracks *herself* up; the only thing that cracked me up was her repeated incorrect usage of the word “sale” while referring to OTHERS as “idiots.” Ah, the irony…

You guys have got to go see Pam Shaw’s Instagram with her home tour and especially how many pairs of sneakers she has in her closet. They were paid for with a lot of Star orders…!

I know someone who used to *teach* at a university and still switched to MK. 🙁 This says as much about how badly adjunct professors get treated as it does about how deceptive MK is. 🙁

Why would anybody want to be a part of a company (or defend it) that ‘peer pressures’ others into buying stuff they don’t want or need? It seems this person puts all the blame on the consultants and none on the scummy business practices and company that promotes them. Why does she defend a company that practices peer pressure to sell its product instead of having a great product at a reasonable price? It’s not just peer pressure, but the deception that consultants needs these items to run a successful business and they will sell themselves. I read some scripts and there is a script to overcome every objection out there to get women to plop down those credit cards. I wonder if she blames the victims of all scams. I am thankful for this board, I have never joined MK, but found this board when invited as a guest (creepy experience) and avoided it like a disease.

if they really looked through this website then they would not send us redundant love letters like this.
i don’t believe she really looked through the site.
    tracy,
i’m telling you, you should have a special section for all the love letters despite them all saying the same thing.

    Tracy,
Can you activate your Archives widget? So it will show all the post from each year? You can do it drop menu style so it won’t take up so much room. I am showing some people your site and all your good work.
