I fell for it all and I bought my way to being top "sales" in our unit one year. Funny thing was, standing up there being recognized at our unit meeting, I didn't feel honored. I felt like a fraud because I knew there were ladies in my unit that had really sold way more than I had. I knew that I had a ton of product sitting on my shelves at home that probably would never be sold. I was the ultimate sucker, as my husband used to call it. I quit that year. I put us so far in debt with all my ordering, we lost our home to foreclosure shortly after. Oh yes, Mary Kay was very good to me... NOT! Oh how I wish I’d known this when I joined many years ago.
