Independent Contractor

An independent businessperson who engages in business under the terms of a contract (i.e., the Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement). Independent contractors are self-employed and are not employees. They have no power or authority to incur any debt, obligation or liability or to make any representation or contract on behalf of Mary Kay Inc. Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants, Sales Directors and National Sales Directors are independent contractors, not employees of the company.
