Pink Truth

I have always maintained that no one can save anyone from themselves if they do not want to be saved. Mary Kay Ash, the person, was not a so-called Christian in the way it is bandied about here and the company she founded was not a Christian company.

It was a cosmetics and skincare manufacturing business built on a specific marketing plan and her ultimate success was when MARY KAY CORP. went public and hit the bigtime about 30 years ago... give or take.

Then she got old and her son took it over. He leveraged the company into massive debt to take it private and morphed it into some sort of religious answer to the mystery of life using makeup as the means to salvation. Of course, this salvation also included the earthly rewards of valuable gifts and prizes and the chance at a lifestyle enjoyed by those other rich folks who did not use religion to attain that good life.

It's always fun to browse through Mary Kay NSD websites and see what constitutes “money management” training.  Naturally, when I came across the "Fall Retreat Money Management Slides" on NSD Linda Toupin's website, I was interested.  "Wow, an NSD that’s actually teaching her National Area how to avoid debt?  How nifty is that?”  At least, that's what I thought until I read the very first slide:

Face palm.  Sigh.  Roll eyes.  Pour a stiff Pepsi.  All of the above.

NSD Toupin's a Class A product pusher, actively “encouraging” her followers to load themselves (and their new recruits) with mountains of makeup for a myriad of reasons.

Deceit in Mary Kay is alive and well. It's clear that Mary Kay's representatives don't want potential recruits to know about Pink Truth and the real information that we provide. Below is an email sent out by a director, warning others about the "negative" (Pink Truth) comments posted in response to a fluff piece done on Mary Kay by CBS.

Hi NSD'S & Directors,

This was brought to my attention this afternoon, so you may already know this.

When you click on the link to see the Great Clip at CBS Nightly News, scroll on down further on the page.  There are some comments that will, I didn't  take the time to read them all, but wanted to make you aware of, that are not  supportive of our wonderful Mary Kay company. http://www.cbsnews. com/video/watch/?id= 4802246n
I sent the  clip out to my unit on Feb. 13, 09.  It looks like the first comments started on Feb. 14 @  7:19pm (not sure of time zone). Last comment on Feb. 16th. (The abilities to post comments are now closed on the CBS site.)

A basic booking script from Mary Kay director Jolee Lamatrice, with a handful of interesting (and head-scratching) dialogue hints included!

Hi!  My name is Jolee and I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.  I am out looking for new clients today, and I was wondering if anyone has offered you a Mary Kay complimentary skin care session or makeover, or if one of our girls is already taking care of you?

Wait and let her respond - if she says no - that means YES!  No one has offered her an appointment and she does not have a consultant.  So you say: (and don't let her get a word in during this next paragraph - this is where you are selling her!)

In case you missed Mary Kay's "Satellite Education Event" hosted at movie theaters around the country last weekend, here are the notes... If you're new here and wondering what that event was all about, our author Raisinberry does an excellent job of explaining how this brainwashing event fits into the big picture of the Pink Cult.

THE MARY KAY  SATELLITE EDUCATION EVENT 2-14-09

The event started with wonderful old movie clips of women over the years  being successful from Gone with the Wind to Erin Brokovich…Then a wonderful speech from Mary Kay which always inspires everyone.  I could listen to Mary Kay speak all day long.

Yvette Franco spoke about the latest trends in fashion and makeup – Global Beauty.  She said that this Spring the trends are all about nature – artistic colors, draped layers, pleats, ruffles, linen, cotton.   Paisley prints and batiks (a dying process), fuller skirts, flowing, chiffon, longer tops in ethnic styles, tunics.

Colors of nature, ocean colors, rich blues, tropical greens, enhanced browns, colors of sand, sea and sky.  Calming neutrals, rich earthly shades. The beach and nature-inspired trends.
