A True Mary Kay Believer

Comments from a true believe in the Cult of Mary Kay, who has been losing money for 28 years, is in debt because of her MK activities, and just WON’T GIVE UP. She knows what NOT to do because of us!

Hi, I enjoy coming on here every once in awhile, to get inspired from those that got lied to. And from those, like myself who haven’t given up. I’ve been a director, I earned the car (took the cash), I’ve had lots of personal team members (43 at one time). I’ve also lost it all, but not to MK. I did it on my own.

I’m still in, I still have debt (most that I know, do too – so what). In fact I’ve been in for 28 years! I won’t give it up. I’ve been sick most of that time, and recently had back to back surgeries. I don’t know of any one in the corporate world that would hire and keep someone like me as an employee. I work when I can, my mk money goes to bills, and to the charity work I do.

I am grateful for your site. I have seen and learned from you all. It gives me insite on what not to do. I have even chewed out my national and my director. I’ve costed my national a few DIQ in their final months of qualifications, for something that was wrongly done to me. I didn’t want it to happen to them. My last director ( I was moved twice by corp), is now a consultant. She told a consultant I was in last month of car qualification. I called the company and had cancelled that order, and a few others that month. I was so angry!

I just wanted you to know, yes there are a few that won’t give up. Yes, I know a few of my sentences are wrong along with some words. I really don’t give a shit!

I was once told by my current director and NSD, that I shouldn’t write down to anyone my thoughts and concerns (maybe write it down, then throw it away, give it to God)- really! So I make sure that someone reads what I write or in this case type. Because really, do you really care. I thought not.

Have a great day!

She wasn’t moved twice by corp – she had to let her consultantship lapse by not ordering. She then re-signed up under a different director each time thinking that a different director would somehow make a difference. Ask me how I know!

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Based on your own words (where I could understand them) on how you behave, I brlieve you. But that includes Mary Kay: they didn’t hire you. You pay them, remember?

She recognizes she’s been sent a rowboat, motorboat, and a helicopter. But, she’s just going to keep believing and not “give up” waiting for a sign. She “believes” it’s coming.

This seemingly nice lady has scammed at least 43 people. She’s has not a clue what she is, i.e. an MLM scammer, and no wonder she’s waiting for a sign that has actually already come and gone many times over.

I’m truly sorry she is sick. It’s terrible that she resorts to duping others in an endless-chain recruiting, product-based pyramid scheme to steal a buck to pay her bills – even if she doesn’t completely understand it.

*As I’ve matured, my understanding of brainwashing and the power behind it has grown – and it’s damn scary. Some people are scary, especially the “leaders”. MLM leaders should not be worshipped for successfully lying the most people. It’s ridiculous.

If she wants a call from home job from Unicef, I can get her in touch with a student at my university… She won’t get in debt, and she is already used to hearing the word, “No.”

Maybe a cult deprogrammer is needed. We need to be compassionate. She seems to think that many years of debt as normal. She is reading what we say but seems conditioned to accept this MK failure. Sadly she is emotionally invested in this mlm nightmare. She cannot stop believing in things like meetings with other women as fun (when their simply trying to keep you in the fold), seeing women get fake accolades while on stage, never ever quitting and all those MK quotes about integrity etc. She seems stuck in the mythology of MK. The decades long carefully crafted story of MK herself. The Slogans ensure that MK followers are kept in the group no matter what. They are to be positive and not employ critical thinking. Hopefully one day she’ll come to realize that there is no shame in quitting Mk. There is a better life that is more honorable and financially rewarding waiting for her. She deserves that.

    Uh… What?
So what have we taught you not to do?
You’re still in after 28 years of making nothing and blaming yourself for a business model set up for failure? Why??
It’s not your “silly words” (again, what?) that are mentionable, it’s the fact you’re still on this hamster wheel for no reason at all.
What was your point of writing to us at all, to justify another year of debt?
Many people are in debt, yes. That doesn’t make it ok.
You’re in debt from over-ordering product to save face at a MK meeting literally no one else on earth cares about. “So what?” If you’ve settled into acceptance of life long debt, that’s really sad.
