I feel so sorry for everyone who is wasting time bashing Mary Kay because truthfully, you’re not stopping the growth, your not “saving” anyone from trouble, and you’re just making yourselves look sad.

I hope you will find something better to do with you time, then again, this might be all you’re capable of. But I hope I’m wrong. I hope there aren’t a bunch of bitter, cynical women who think they’re better than others just because they actually share their ugly opinions.

How much money do you have? Is that why you are so upset, because you didn’t work out with your own idea? You can do better than this ladies. Try!

  1. Well, you can do better things with your time than reading this site. Shouldn’t you be doing some income producing activity instead of being here? In case you were not aware, the person who founded this site is a forensic accountant. Pink Truth has saved a lot of women from the heartache and lies and deception of Mary Kay. The women on here are not sad anymore because they have broken the chains of bondage that were causing stress in their lives. The platitudes such as “fake it til you make it”, “you can’t sell from an empty wagon”, “the speed of the leader is the speed of the gang” and the all time favorite “no one held a gun to your head” and there are many other platitudes used by MK. Very insulting to tell the ladies on this site to tell these women to find something better to do with their time bc “this might be all your capable of”. If you have actually read the posts on this site you would know that there were Cadillac drivers, directors, etc posting here and whatever supposedly coveted positions in Mary Kay. A lot of these ladies in this site after they decided to leave MK can FINALLY breathe and enjoy their lives and have jobs with vacation pay, retirement plans, insurance, etc. Far more than they ever received from their time in MK. The women on here do not think they are better than others. They are here to help support those who have discovered MK is not for them and how to send the product back and to let those who tried MK that no, they are not crazy. The things they experienced in MK were real, the front loading, the cult like behavior, etc. Some things in here may be “opinions” but most things on here are the truthful experience they had. It is rude to ask anyone how much $ they have. I want to know how when being in MK you can work out with your own “idea”? MK controls what you can & can’t do. Read your contract. The ladies on here can and did better. They escaped MK. Telling the ladies on here to try is not accomplishing anything. They did try. How do you think they became directors, etc. When you calm down and maybe decide MK is not for you bc you will be experiencing the very same things that they will be happy to help you to know how to send the product back, what to expect when you do, like your director calling you after you call MK corp begging you not to send it back so you she won’t get a charge back, etc. You are not the first person to come on this site to try and talk about how negative this site is and how wonderful MK is. Most of you “stumble” on this site and are so eager to tell the ladies on here just how wonderful MK is, when I think a lot of you are starting to realize that MK is not all it is presented to be and that small inner voice within is saying to you “Danger Will Robinson”. If you don’t care for this site, don’t click on it. For the ladies on this site it is a place of healing and sharing their experiences and discovering that no, they were not the only ones being manipulated and deceived by the MK machine. I wish you the best.

  2. These critics are like job applicants who didn’t bother to research the company before the interview.

I must admit, I look forward to reading these every Friday. 😜 How many different ways can they make the same uninformed, uneducated argument? And which category will they fall into….condescending, angry, religious, or the miscellaneous (who cannot write well enough to be understood).

  3. “How much money do you have?”

A – None of your business.
B – Enough to be quite comfortable, despite stepping away from a job I loved but didn’t love where I was doing it.
C – WAY more than I was making in an MLM!

  4. It isn’t polite to ask about someone’s finances. But I’ll humor you. I have money. We are very comfortable and can pretty much do whatever we want, but we live quietly and mind our own business. There was a time in our life when we did not have money, and that has given us the perspective that money can go away, it isn’t the be-all-end-all. We have worked hard for what we have and we do not take it for granted. I’m not “bitter” because I don’t have money. On my list of issues I have with Mary Kay and other multi level marketing companies, money isn’t even the first thing. Personally, I do not think it’s classy to brag about one’s finances. Nor do I believe it’s Biblical, which in conflict with the idea of Mary Kay being a “Christian” company. But they encourage bragging about one’s paycheck and flaunting an extravagant lifestyle.

You’re here reading this site because something in the back of your mind is telling you everything is not as it seems. You’re angry, which is a natural initial reaction. Many of us have experienced the same thing. But ask yourself, are you angry at us, or are you angry because some small part of you knows it has confirmed the suspicion hovering in the corners of your brain that Mary Kay is not everything it promised itself to be?

  5. Money? Well, I certainly make a lot more now than I did working MK and another job. I find it interesting that you ask us about our income and yet do not send your Schedule C from last year (or for this tax season) to prove how well you are doing. I’ll show you my tax forms if you show yours. But… you won’t.

Right now as I’m writing a response to you, I am making money. That’s right! I can sit here in my home, take a break from my J.O.B. (that gives me a retirement, professional clothes for public engagements, insurance, and a guaranteed income) and still know that I will be paid my salary at the end of the month.

My check isn’t dependent on roaming the aisles of Target, lying to checkout cashiers that they look sharp, cold calling/texting/messaging old acquaintances looking for a warm body to hustle, posting fake giveaways on FB with no replies, or telling a live recruit that she can’t sell from an empty wagon (as I peruse an online company to place an order that will arrive in a few days).

You don’t realize who is in this collective group of people.

  6. This site most certainly has affected the growth of MK because I’m one of many that read it and got out. Shipped my inventory back and never regretted it.

Please work a few more IPAs and buy yourself a grammar lesson. “Your” not making a great case for yourself.

By the way, while your out pushing “New Year, New You” makeovers and working 7 days a week trying to find customers, I’ll be enjoying my family and off time. Meanwhile, I’ll be enjoying my benefits I now have.

  7. Oh my, Ms Sales Director, how manipulative! First of all, are we in fact “wasting time bashing Mary Kay” here? Telling the truth is a not waste of time, and our lived experiences cannot be dismissed as “ugly opinions.”

Likewise, I hope that you find something better to do with your time than Mary Kay, because I know that endless chain recruiting and constantly hustling to shill drugstore-quality makeup is not all you’re capable of. I hope I’m not wrong.

As for how much money I have, I can tell you that I make significantly more than the director that I was recruited under. I know this because she’s consistently in the top 100 for commission in Emerald so her check amounts are published in Applause. I can also tell you that my job gives me benefits, including a 401K match, annual bonus, and stock grants. If I travel for work, my expenses go on a company card and I don’t ever have to share a hotel room. I also work 40 hour weeks, for the most part. Do you?

And honestly, it seems like you’re the one who’s upset, not me. Spend some time here on Pink Truth and listen to the stories of the many women here. I know you can do better than Mary Kay. Try!

  8. “I hope you will find something better to do with you time, then again, this might be all you’re capable of. But I hope I’m wrong”

I spend less than 30 minutes a day here. My time not you (sic) time. The rest I spend doing housework, no cooking onions to fool my husband his meals on the way. I colour, I read, I garden. I write.
I talk to my children. Alas they are too old to need help with their homework. I’ve returned to crafting, embroidery and knitting.
I have friends who don’t demand I buy things I don’t want or need so she can get another step up a slippery slope. And they know I won’t be doing the same to them.

So yes, you are very wrong.

  9. “I hope there aren’t a bunch of bitter, cynical women who think they’re better than others just because they actually share their ugly opinions.”

I don’t think I’m better than other women. Nor are you going to shame me into thinking I’m worse. And just because my opinions are not in tandem with yours, does not mean they are ugly, just formed by different equally valid experiences.

But I’ll wear the sash that says bitter cynical woman with pride because they are valid emotions. I’m not going to fake “happy, happy, joy, joy” to spare the fee-fees of another anonymous internet persona.

  10. “Opinions”

Yes, there are a few opinions on here like, “Mary Kay suits are butt ugly.” A popular opinion, but still, just an opinion. However, the majority of articles and comments are facts, such as:

    – MK is an MLM company. MLM=Scam.
    – MK uses cult tactics: group-think, belief, faith.
    – Consultants are liars, knowingly or not.
    – No retirement benefits for lying to others.
    – You make less money for your scam work than is advertised.
    – Your recruiter is using you for her own commission.

  11. When I was a teenager in the 90s. My best friend’s sister was and still is a mary kay consultant.

Well, she still uses mary kay and sells it on the side of her regular job. She buys it for personal use and sells extras to friends.

Back in her mary kay hay day, in the 90s was the height of her mary kay career.
She got a red mary kay car.

I asked her how she did it. She said she had 13 girls under her signed up to mary kay.

Not long afterwards probably within a year I noticed she wasn’t driving the mary Kay car anymore.

I asked my friends mom about it and she told me she lost the mary kay car.

Anyways I remember around that time right before she got the car I was helping her move because she was getting married soon. And my job was to pack all of her mary kay products. They were all stored in her restroom cabinet. Boy was there alot of items to pack up!

So I do believe it when people say the mary kay consultant IS the end user!

She always begged her mom to buy stuff too.

My best friend’s mom said once that she was tired of buying mary kay all the time and took us to the mall.

Also at baby showers and things like that my friends sister would always give away mary kay products as prizes.

I bet Every mary kay lady is actually going through the same thing through out the years. It’s fraud in my opinion.

  12. I don’t think there will be any argument to my saying MK Corporate knows how to sue people. And sadly, to my disgust, MKCorpse knows how to win. SO ====== PINK TRUTH has been around for fourteen+ years.

    FOURTEEN+ YEARS OF PINK TRUTH.

AND MKCORPSE HAS NOT SUED TRACY??? Look at all the causes of action according to the good kbot — defaming the company, the directors & consultants, the products. Definitely LIBEL as it is all written but I bet slander could be extracted as Tracy has been on shows. Lost Profits / Loss of Gainful Business Opportunities – I don’t know what the actual phrases are, but MKCORPSE DOES, AND DOES NOT SUE PINK TRUTH OR TRACY.

Kind of feel like………….enough said. What do you say in response dear critics? And also please inform us why YOUR SCHEDULE C’S REMAIN WITH YOU. Your braggart rights are not substantiated but your Sched.C could do it, if you aren’t lying. We are waiiiittting…..
