Thank you for making me even more passionate about my wonderful company. I think you are a sad person and I will continue to do my best to tell every single person I meet what a wonderful, positive difference Mary Kay has made in my life. I am sorry you are filled with so much hatred and I will say a prayer for you.

I have seen first hand women who help to support their children and families simply by their MK sales alone. Maybe you don’t realize that earning even $50-$100 extra for a family can make a very large impact to them. I’m sure you don’t… you obviously tried this and you obviously didn’t ‘work’ the business. You sure work hard at hating and bringing others down. It would be amazing what you could have done with something positive. You do realize that women like skin care and make up right? It is something they buy.

There are so many things that need attention in this world. You could possibly think of putting your energy into something that will better our society and not waste so much time with this. Its time to think about getting yourself a life. You are UN- PATRIOTIC to take away the joy in owning your own business and the wonderful support that can bring to our economy and to women in this country.

This website is such a Joke to me I just had to respond. You clearly have no understanding of how business works and like ANYTHING in this world, it will not work unless you put in the effort. Funny… I know hundreds of women that make a ‘living’ on selling makeup and skin care in this company. I guess I don’t understand why you would try to sabotage that? Just because there are people out there like yourself that CHOOSE not to do the work needed. That is your own fault and you know that deep down. You blame others so you don’t have to take responsibility.

I again will say a prayer for you today. I will pray that you will find joy in your life, I will pray that you will look to do good and not try to pull others down right along with you. Your website affected me to work harder to make my company stronger. And trust me… it will only continue to be.

  1. Well, well, well. ANOTHER person telling the people on here just how WONDERFUL MK is and how people are making a living selling makeup etc. To the OG the founder of this site is a forensic accountant and did try Mary Kay and discovered it was smoke and mirrors, deception, lots of platitudes, etc. Just b/c your experience in MK may be a happy one (and I doubt it) does not mean the experiences talked about here are not the other people’s experience. If MK has changed your life for the better, good for you, but that is not what most people encounter and this site is for healing and understanding the manipulation that was utilized by MK and that NO, the former directors, Cadillac drivers, etc that post on here were not CRAZY and the manipulation tactics used on them was used on EVERYONE in MK. You may continue to pray for those on this site, but these ladies are finally FREE from MK and are happier out of MK than they ever were in MK. Once again, you didn’t work the business claim. Sorry, that is not true. These ladies WORKED the business for no gain. They are not trying to bring others down, just trying to warn others about the cult that is MK and for the most part ALL MLMs are very cultish and spew the same stuff. You didn’t work hard enough, it is YOUR fault that the products are not selling and you are not getting recruits, blah blah blah. Every MLM uses those tactics, insert Pampered Chef, Arbonne, Tupperware, Monat, etc in here. The ladies on this site are just trying to warn others about what MK and other mlms are and the tricks and deception used on them. When and if you decide to leave MK b/c you realize that no you won’t sell it, it does not fly off the shelf, MK works when you do, the speed of the leader is the speed of the gang, can not get recruits etc. these ladies are here to listen to your experience and tell you how to get your $ back from MK. Do not claim these ladies did NOT work their business. YOU have no idea just how hard they worked for NO compensation. By the way can we please see the schedule C if you are making so much $? Those of you who come on here to complain about this site and tell the ladies on here how wonderful MK is and they were just lazy, didn’t work their business, etc NEVER EVER show a schedule C. Also, you all seem to stumble upon this site by accident and need to make sure that we know that you will pray for us. A lot of praying is done for the posters on this site and just how negative the posters are about MK. Truth is truth, neither good, bad or indifferent. The ladies on this site are speaking their truth and DO NOT diminish or poo poo what their EXPERIENCES were. It was their experiences in MK. This is a site for healing. When and if you decide that perhaps MK is not what you thought it was these ladies will help you get out of the pink fog. For now, MK on if it is working for you.

  2. “I have seen first hand women who help to support their children and families simply by their MK sales alone.”
If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. Did you ask to see their 1099? Otherwise they are following their brainwashing that they pretend that they’re doing well. This is an mlm where 99% lose money. That’s including your friend. This is not at up for her to profit.

“Maybe you don’t realize that earning even $50-$100 extra for a family can make a very large impact to them. ”
I agree with mk making an impact. It’s put people into debt, bankruptcy and divorce. It messes with people’s self esteem and confidence.

  3. I take these “I will pray for you” statements as not-very-subtle assertions of moral superiority on the part of the critics. Seeing as how they are always nestled among streams of insults, I think I’m on pretty safe ground, here.

This critic makes bald-faced statements with no basis in fact, falling back on “obviously” for support instead of bothering to do any actual research. Why should we listen to anything she has to say?

I will say this: “UN- PATRIOTIC” is a new one!

  4. Well hun, if this site gets your hackles up so much, neither your nor anyone on your team needs to come here and read but you all seem to stumble into here pretty easily.

Skincare and makeup *is* something women like to buy – you bet — in an out of Target, in and out of Sephora/Ulta, no fuss, no muss no need to hear about an “opportunity”.

How much money was spent to make that $50-$100 extra? My guess is those people are upside down $1,000+ easy on inventory before they can ever truly claim a profit.

Like NK, I’m trying to figure out what patriotism has to do with Mary Kay and it honestly seems creepy.

    • I, personally, like Macy’s. I can even get my eyebrows done by a professional there. A great place to buy MAC or Estee Lauder.

    • “Like NK, I’m trying to figure out what patriotism has to do with Mary Kay and it honestly seems creepy.”—

“Patriotism” and any derivative of that word is a new buzzword among cultists. I’m not at all surprised she’s using it given some of the language in her post. She is in a rainbow of fog.

    • So much stumbling onto this site…can we post some “watch your step” signs around the borders?

  5. “I know hundreds of women that make a ‘living’ on selling makeup and skin care in this company.”

    And this statement:

“I know hundreds of women that make a ‘living’ on selling makeup and skin care in this company.”

She says this exact statement twice in her one post above, What the heck is that about?

Also those hundred of women she “knows” are scam artists not makeup artists HUNNY!

  6. “You do realize that women like skin care and make up right?”

I guess I’m going to handing in my Woman Card because I’m indifferent to such things.

“You are UN- PATRIOTIC to take away the joy in owning your own business and the wonderful support that can bring to our economy and to women in this country. ”

I didn’t realise that was part of being an American citizen. Kinda glad we choose Canada instead. Supporting small businesses wasn’t mentioned in my copy of So you’re aboot to become a Canadienne eh!

” I will pray that you will find joy in your life, I will pray that you will look to do good and not try to pull others down right along with you. ”

While you are grandstanding your prayers (see Matt 6;5), I’m looking through my possessions to see what I don’t need and what I can donate to my local Ukrainian centre. The joys of down-sizing your household means I have a lot of stuff I no longer need.

  7. Hey listen OP, you can go to my hometown Cuba and live under a dictatorship if you like.
I love this country because it is a free country. If Tracy going to write her blog about Mary Kay everyday she can do that. Tracy got you bothered Bruja don’t she? How long did you spend writing that manifesto?

  8. “I will pray for you” really means they rolling their eyes. LOL these Kaybots can’t even pretend to be godly right.

  9. “ take away the joy in owning your own business”

So…is your personal Mary Kay business an LLC? S-Corp? C-Corp? Sole proprietorship? Do you have an EIN? Yeah, I’m pretty sure the answer is “nope” to all of those.

I begrudgingly have to give the writer a few points for decent grammar and punctuation restraint.

  10. Dear Critic:

It’s OK; we understand. You were looking for ideas to get your faltering pretend-business off the ground, and you found Pink Truth (“stumbled,” right?). Unable to just turn around and leave, you read a few articles. And you felt hurt, offended, personally attacked. So you lashed out.

    It’s OK.

You know why it’s OK? Because we know you’re struggling. You may know a few (“hundreds”? I think not) who seem to be doing well, but you’re not one of them. You’re wondering why. Well, I’ll tell you why: because most of those you’re trying to emulate are lying. They’re not doing any better than you are; they’re just putting on an act. Haven’t you been told to do the same thing? To “fake it till you make it”? I’ll let you in on a secret: almost no one ever achieves the second half of that directive. They’re all faking it.

If you’re wondering how I know so much about your predicament, it’s pretty simple: your story is far from unique. Besides, you let a little sliver of truth slip out in your closing paragraph:

“Your website affected me to work harder to make my company stronger.”

“Work harder,” eh? If you were satisfied with your situation, you wouldn’t feel the need to work harder. But Mary Kay has drilled it into your psyche: the answer is always to work harder. It’s never enough, and it never will be. But as long as they can convince you you are not working hard enough, you’ll be blaming yourself for your failure instead of the system you got roped into.

There’s nothing wrong with hard work, but you’re in a game with a stacked deck. The only winning move is not to play. I hope you come to realize that before you go too much further into debt.

  11. “I again will say a prayer for you today. I will pray that you will find joy in your life, I will pray that you will look to do good and not try to pull others down right along with you.”

Don’t pray for me or anyone else with your holier-than-thou thinking. You pray to a god who puts money and success above all things.

“There are so many things that need attention in this world. You could possibly think of putting your energy into something that will better our society and not waste so much time with this. Its time to think about getting yourself a life. ”

Yeah, there ARE a lot of things that need attention in this world. Like the sick and injured who come to the hospital where I work. I can tell you that I put a lot of energy into taking care of that critically ill patient who came in with chest pain, is now on two cardiac drips, and is getting ready to head to the cath lab. Also, I have a life, and it’s pretty darn good right now. My work is separated from my life. I don’t live and breathe drips, antibiotics, pain meds, cardiac monitors, and more…. my work stays at work. Does yours?
