Another kind Mary Kay lady wants to help us understand that we were the problem.

I’m so sick of this garbage. You act like you’re exposing some big secret, but everyone knows Mary Kay requires work and dedication. It’s not some magical lottery ticket. The only reason you failed is because you didn’t follow the program. You didn’t listen to your director, and you didn’t stay consistent. That’s on you, not the company. Maybe you should spend less time trashing people who are actually doing something with their lives.

Hello, how nice to meet you.

You act like you’re exposing some big secret, but everyone knows Mary Kay requires work and dedication.

Can you show me on this nice graphic Mary Kay Canada puts out each year, where the dedication and work is? Or is it simply the exploitation of other women?

It’s not some magical lottery ticket.

Then why are we bombarded with such ideas as “executive pay for part-time work”, “work in small pockets of your time” or “you can work anywhere, at children’s sporting events, in the bathroom, while watching Netflix”? You certainly promote it as a panacea.

The only reason you failed is because you didn’t follow the program.

Except these brave women here did follow the programme. The programme is rigged to fail the vast majority of it’s participants.

You didn’t listen to your director, and you didn’t stay consistent.

Then how did so many of the commentariat rise to director level? They must have listened and been consistent.

That’s on you, not the company.

According to the FTC, for every one person the succeed in an MLM, 249 have to fail. Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash chose this model for a reason. That reason was money. She wanted it , she and her family are still benefitting from the hard word work and inevitable failure of those 249 women.

Maybe you should spend less time trashing people who are actually doing something with their lives.

Sorry, I don’t find anything admirable in anyone who will happily lie to people’s faces in order to earn a percentage of their orders.

    • “According to the FTC, for every one person the succeed in an MLM, 249 have to fail.”

In this context, succeeding is merely not losing money. The percentage who actually make any decent money is much, much smaller.

I wish we knew the percentage who “net” better than mininum wage. 0.4% don’t lose money. The number who can actually report a living wage from MLM activity is teeny tiny indeed!

  2. Since Miss Congeniality here has all the answers, I’m sure she won’t mind sending Tracy her previous three years worth of tax returns, including Schedule C, proving that her hard work and dedication has paid off.

Go on. We’ll wait. In fact, Pink Truth has been waiting close to 20 years for someone to do exactly that. And they’re still waiting.

  3. I think I’ll go back several days to start to copy and paste my post from then. I did all the stuff, I followed all the right people, I copied all the right cats for 20 years! I did get to Director after 4 years…all the stuff didn’t work.

I promise most of the people who are at the top have cheated somehow. I know because I did everything right for 20 years taught by the top people (I paid extra to go to their workshops, and I earned the right to sit at the feet of the top people) and still stuck at mid-level director. I would love to see how many former top directors are here and perhaps even a few NSDs. smh

Maybe you should spend less time looking at Pink Truth and more time doing what your director tells you to so you can spend thousands and thousands of dollars trying to get to the top 1% of the pink pyramid.

  5. We’re trashing people who are convincing women to take out loans for product they know they won’t sell so they can finish car production. Yall should be thanking us! Thank Tracy!

I’m not going into a long thing today because the tone behind that short blurb was extra annoying. Just doing to say if you’re successful in Mary Kay, you cheated. Exactly zero people who make it to NSD did it honest. Actually, exactly zero people make it to director without cheating. If you signed your mother in law up to finish car, you cheated. I’m happy to be proven wrong.
