If you are the same, hopeless woman that wrote a blog I came across today bashing the Mary Kay company and responding to everyone’s posts that actually stood up for the business…then I pray for your sad, unmotivated soul. It is really saddening to me that you devote your time to producing a website that is revolved around a Mary Kay Hate Club, or CULT for that matter.

You think Mary Kay is a cult…but the numbers should prove to you that after 55 years of being successful and and the growing number of consultants, your opinions are just that…OPINIONS. Not facts. “99% of women who start Mary Kay, fail.” HAHAHAHA….how pathetic. Where is your research and proven facts that make this number relevant? I’d sure love to see them.

Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…because clearly you aren’t making any money by discouraging women who DO have dreams to become better, more enthusiastic and positive people.

Maybe you haven’t learned yet, but Mary Kay obviously isn’t for everyone. However, I have noticed that the women that DO fail, are pushovers who were sucked into the fact that they apparently HAVE to buy a ton of inventory, in which it is not required. Then they realized..”wow, I don’t have the motivation to go out and meet new women to actually sell this $5000 worth of product, maybe I should quit”……that’s where people like you come into play.

DO NOT DEMOTIVATE WOMEN WHO DO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THEIR OWN LIVES, ESPECIALLY WOMEN YOU DON’T KNOW. Keep your negative thoughts to yourself and the few close friends that you speak with on a daily basis. LET WOMEN MAKE DECISIONS OF THEIR OWN, you are not their mother and it is not your responsibility to influence a personal decision of theirs!

I sure hope you are truly happy with your life, especially considering your goal is to make other women discouraged into bettering their own lives, or at least TRYING to. I would hate to know that someone with selfish goals like this isn’t experiencing a sad, pathetic life of their own. Karma will come around, lady…

GOOD DAY,
Don’t Be Lazy

  1. “Don’t Be Lazy”!

Well, shoot, Lazy Gardens is gonna have to change her user name now 😨

Speaking of PT regulars, have you met Destiny Angel? She lives in Canada, where the law requires even MLM companies to report their participants’ incomes. She’ll be glad to post those numbers, which quite clearly show that more than 99% of Independent Beauty Canadians make a pittance. You can argue that Canada has a smaller population and a different ethnic mix than the USA, but it bears up the numbers gleaned from research and anecdotal data in the US too.

Anyway, the former MK folks here haven’t gathered to piss and moan. They’re here to inform people of the dangers ahead and let them know so they can make informed decisions. Like if an off ramp on the highway got washed out in a flash flood, so there’s a barricade and the police and all kinds of flashing lights. If you’re determined to smash through it and plummet into the flood waters, they can’t stop you.

They’re also here to give advice and support to those who want to leave, the same way emergency services will still do their best to rescue you even after you deliberately put yourself in danger.

    Good day yourself.

  2. PTC, Stacy has included links to research for the FTC that shows exactly how poorly MLMs perform. Her articles with that reference include a hyperlink to that research. Contributors have also shared MKC’s Canadian income disclosures. The burden is on you to prove your assertion.

I challenge you to identify just one profitable downline in MK or any MLM of your choosing. And by profitable, I mean the aggregate income of the entire downline (including all current and former participants) exceeds the aggregate money spent by the same.

Pay-to-play endless-chain recruiting schemes of all types (including MLMs like Mary Kay) are designed to take from the bottom to give to the top. So long as the “pay-to-play” aspect remains, no downline can be profitable as a whole.

And please stop repeating the lie about front-loading being optional in MK. Mary Kay Corp has qualifying minimums just like most other MLM companies. You simply can’t stay active in MK without front-loading.

Please share your findings with us. I for one will be overjoyed to learn how any MLM downline managed to be profitable, given the mathematical certainly of aggregate losses in these schemes.

Welcome to the internet where you can find people who talk about things.

then I pray for your sad, unmotivated soul.

Kindly keep your faux pious prayers to yourself, like Jesus said in Matthew 6.6-16.

It is really saddening to me that you devote your time to producing a website that is revolved around a Mary Kay Hate Club,

This website isn’t an anomaly. Google “Disney + criticism”, “Apple + criticism”, “Wal-Mart + criticism” et c. There are plenty out there discussing the downsides of working for any company.

    or CULT for that matter.

Mary Kay like most, if not all MLMs operate on a model similar to those found in cults, see Dr Steven Hasan’s BITE model for comparison.

You think Mary Kay is a cult…

    ☝️☝️Points up ☝️☝️

but the numbers should prove to you that after 55 years of being successful and and the growing number of consultants, your opinions are just that…OPINIONS.

Of course we don’t only have opinions, we have the testimonies of women who were successful in Mary Kay. The car-drivers, the ones with rings and blings, the stars and bars, those who walked the stage to thunderous applause.

    Not facts.

You want facts, ma’am…cracks knuckles, drinks third cup of tea. Lets see some facts.

“99% of women who start Mary Kay, fail.” HAHAHAHA….how pathetic. Where is your research and proven facts that make this number relevant? I’d sure love to see them.

For some reason, I can’t find an income disclosure on ANY other global Mary Kay website…I wonder why?? Is Ryan Rogers withholding that information from us so we can’t see The Facts?

Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…

I’m retired. I don’t need to go out and warm chatter other people in order to attempt to exploit them for my up-line to make a few dollars and me to make a few cents.

because clearly you aren’t making any money by discouraging women who DO have dreams to become better, more enthusiastic and positive people.

If you are making money in Mary Kay, prove it. Send Tracy your 1099 and Schedule C or your countries equivalent. We want to see YOUR FACTS.

  4. “Mary Kay obviously isn’t for everyone”

Mary Kay is for no one who isn’t an upper level NSD. Even regular NSDs are struggling.

    “the growing number of consultants”

If the number is growing, why did Pearl division go away? Why did Ruby division go away? Why are seminars being combined and divisions disappearing? The writing is on the wall, numbers are shrinking.
