Get your facts straight!

Our facts are straight. Yours, on the other hand, are not especially as you haven’t taken the time or effort to deny or correct a single point we have made.

We know there’s SOME people who make money in Mary Kay. Yet MOST AREN’T despite it being advertised as this huge opportunity and almost guaranteed gig for people to make sizable income.

And truly it’s not all about the money. Morals and ethics matter, and the MK “business” is definitely lacking on that too. Just because you can do something, it doesn’t mean you should.

With all due respect, Writer, how can you know that it’s not your friends who are lying?

I’m not suggesting that they’re purposely trying to deceive you. Maybe they have some weird belief that they can “manifest” a high income by speaking it into existence. Or maybe they’re keeping such poor records that they don’t actually know whether or not they’re losing money. Maybe they’re just too embarrassed to admit that they’re making way less than they expected when they bought into the Mary Kay opportunity.

Let’s assume that Mary Kay really is the most successful. Your friends don’t work for Mary Kay. They buy products from Mary Kay, then attempt to resell them. Mary Kay, Inc. (MKI), will be successful as long as its consultants keep buying products, whether or not those consultants manage to sell anything. The consultants’ successes (or failures) are completely independent of whether MKI is successful.

Suppose I had a craft business where I bought all my supplies from, say, Walmart. I can fail even if Walmart has a hugely successful year, or I can succeed when Walmart has a down year. That’s because I don’t own or work for Walmart; Walmart is simply the company where I purchase my (hypothetical) supplies. In the same way, MKI is simply the company where your friends purchase their products. So please stop assuming that MKI’s success means that your friends are successful, too. It doesn’t work that way.
