You Ladies Conduct Yourself in Non Business Like Ways

A critic of Pink Truth thinks that we don’t take responsibility for our own actions. She’s upset because we call out women who finish directorship with fake consultants and products purchased in their names. The sad truth is that everyone in Mary Kay finishes directorship this way, and they’re taught to do this by their upline.

It is important to note that this consultant believes that doing “30 faces per month” for half a year will sustain director production for the year. It won’t. And you should also know that she says “because I do it”…. yet she is NOT even a director.

Pink Truth  is a great look into how someone can create a mess in Mary Kay if they try to buy their way into leadership.  How about doing the faces and having fun!! If you did not make a goal oh well? Mary Kay is first about the product and the customers. If you loved that part so much you should have not had this much trouble.

You forced yourself and your will into directorship by “buying” in 7 consultants to finish? That is crazy? how about continuing to grow your unit until you can meet the qualifications on your own. Sounds like you made very stupid financial decisions to buy yourself into leadership! That was you fault not Mary Kay’s fault!

Funny how all of you ladies conduct yourself in non business like ways and then blame it on the company! Really where is your honesty, integrity, and work ethic? If you work your business 1/2 of the year 6 months at 30 faces per month that is enough to sustain directorship production no problem! I know because I do it!! Your fault! Don’t buy it if you did not sell it period!! My director and I do not have a bunch of inventory laying around because we work our businesses the RIGHT way!!!!

    PTC, that translates to ~8 faces per week. If you have a huge friend group, you may be able to do this a few times at best. Your closest friends and your family might help you once. But once you’ve exhausted F+F, its on to strangers. Cold calling hit rates are ~2%. This means in order to get 8 faces per week, you need to approach ~400 new strangers each week just to sustain this level of participation. That translates to 10 stranger contacts per hour (or one every six minutes) if working full time at this.

    You don’t believe your own bullsh*t, do you?

  2. Here’s the thing. As a mature woman, I recognize that two things can be true at once.

    Yes, I was a big girl and should have known better than to buy the last 3 consultants in my new unit. And also, I was enmeshed in a system with 60 years of practice getting women to ignore their best judgement and follow the party line.

    I was a grown up and in charge of my finances so I shouldn’t have ordered more inventory than I could sell. And I was cocooned in a company that prioritized urgent ordering, helping my upline, and “stretching” for goals with the promise that the stuff flies off the shelf (only in an earthquake!) and that next month, always next month, everything would turn around.

    It’s not ONLY the company’s fault. But it is ALSO the company’s fault for intentionally creating a system that prioritizes ordering over selling and gives false hope of executive income for part time work.

    It’s about recruiting and frontloading. The products and the customers are later additions to the plan.

    If you loved that part so much you should have not had this much trouble.

    (General) You can “love” it as much as much as (general) you likes, the product still remains unsold because very few people want it.

    I seriously doubt that. You might think you don’t have an excess of inventory laying around but your director definately does.

  4. Talk about projection and victim-blaming.

    Cheating and fraud are encouraged, and MK Corp turns a blind eye to it. They will do absolutely nothing about NSDs and SDs who buy their way into their positions (cough cough Jamie Taylor cough cough). This “business” has no place for ethics or integrity, especially if you want to make any money.

    Save me your sanctimonious BS and go play in traffic.

  5. “Wheres my work ethic” honestly I don’t have one, I show up to my job because I like to eat and buy my dog treats.

    I am not particularly money motivated mostly because of how the MLMi was in promoted that and I lost more than I earned when it was all said & done.

    I also don’t really feel the need to try to keep up with Joneses, the instagram , TikTok influencers or anyone else. So thats super helpful in not living above my means, and allows my to spend my money on quality and long lasting products over the latest fads. It honestly quite relaxing.

  6. “Business-like”? We should be more business like, just like the MK sales force?

    Meetings where everyone has to march around to the song “Pink Cadillac” while making steering wheel motions?

    Everyone wearing matching clothes such as T shirts, PJs, hats etc?

    I could go on..but I haven’t seen anything particularly businesslike about the MK sales force.

  7. So please tell us your annual profit after ALL expenses last year if you did so well. You’re anonymous on here, nobody knows who you are. Of course we’ll never hear anything because every supposedly successful consultant becomes real quiet when asked about profit of their “business “.

I’ve seen enough of the MK consultants’ social media and videos of unit meetings and seminars to see MK consultants including the elite nationals are little more than overgrown toddlers and middle school bullies. Much of what you do would get you fired for inappropriate behavior at a real job. You have no leg to stand on to call anyone else unprofessional.
