$999 Virtual Class
Written by Parsons Green
Amelia Fox is the youngest Cadillac director in Mary Kay. She is promoting a virtual class taught by Connie Kitson’s sister and Kristen Sharpe’s aunt Nicki Keohohou. The cost of the class from “coach school” is a mere $999. And it’s for those who are serious about growth!

Tasha and Cheryl chime in to recommend the class. They’ve each taken the class twice.

Verlyn wants to confirm the price. Is it $9.99 or $99.90? Nope, Kristi shares that the price is indeed $999. But she’s also taken the class before and highly recommends it.

Nicki works with the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance. She makes her living teaches classes like this to women all over the country. She also offers a monthly subscription of $14.95 to join the Alliance.

If this class truly worked, why would you need to take it twice? If the advice is valuable wouldn’t Mary Kay include its methods in their own onboarding process to ensure that consultants are making money for themselves and the company?

Let me guess: Nicki’s “class” is more of the same MLM rah rah fluff to promote ordering and recruiting with zero advice on running and growing successful retail business.
Lets face it…MLMers are easy targets for this type of grift. If these ladies tried to sell this type of class to real professional women, the participants would think they were in a comedy club, and the reviews would quickly expose the grift.
Cringe. And what a waste of time and money for everyone involved…just like MLM.
I just checked my employer’s learning hub, and we have quite a few training courses and resources on coaching. Of course the coaching is about working effectively and bringing out the best in others, rather than trying to separate people from their money. Oh and of course, I don’t have to pay out of pocket or even use PTO to attend the courses.
I’ve worked with no less than 10 “coaches” promising success. Many I was introduced to through different MK NSDs. I’ve done what they’ve suggested, completed their workbooks, gotten on their 5am calls, cheered on other folks in the “group.” Nothing big or lifechanging ever happened, except that I was out “$”.
Each $999 registration means a month’s copay on that Caddy that’s not coming out of her pocket!
Network Marketing Certtification Program DOES NOT EXIST
The only “network marketing certificate” program I could find with a cursory search was at Udemy and the “International Direct Selling Educational Institute.” They look like certification mills produced by unaccredited and unqualified people. What a surprise.
Amelia Fox genuinely needs to attend school for coherent communications. “who would you be willing to attend the info zoom with me next week”.
Nicki Keohohou – Top Selling Extraordinaire. Of what? A bunch of imaginary associations filled with her playmates, or so it sounds.
$999.00. What is Amelia’s cut of that? The better titles for both: Grifter Apprentice; Grifter Extraordinaire.
Youtube offers FREE courses…LinkedIn offers FREE Courses. ChatGpt (this is a thing now!) Will break things down for you, too.
One doesn’t need to pay 999 (as she put it) for such a thing.
My director had hired a “coach” to help the unit move up the career path and there were no new strategies. Thankfully, she paid for it so it didn’t come out of my pocket because they just regurgitated the “book, coach, sell, and recruit” loop in different words and tried to put fire under our behinds to take action. Most of her info was about dressing your best, perfecting your “I” story, calling 100 people a day to make sales, and bragging about all of the stuff she was able to buy from her MK checks. She was pretty aggressive in her approach to try and motivate people. It was such a waste. I bet this will be something similar.
Where in the name of all that’s holy are you supposed to find 100 names PER DAY to call?????
Simple. Call everyone with skin, you lazie looser! 😉
Exactly! That was the nail in the coffin for me. And she was super against text messaging clients or prospects and felt like everything required a call. There was no way that would happen while also working in corporate which paid my bills. And her rationale was that’s what realtors do and you should have enough facial boxes, appointments, referrals, and talking about your business to every single person you meet to make sure that happens and you have plenty of names. All of that work for maybe 1-2 appointments to actually hold per week with no guarantee that a sale would take place. An utter waste of time and I hate I gave up so many of my evenings by trying hit that outrageous goal and finding myself in tears and talking down ti myself because surely there was something wrong with me since it sounded like that’s what everyone else was able to do.
And even if that is what a realtor does, support with home buying is highly sought after. Very few people are actually seeking an MK lady — most people are running away from them!
