Don’t Blame Mary Kay Because You’re a Failure
I find all your posts very amusing.
A lot of the women in here seem to be having a big hangup about Mary kay and about the way that Mary Kay does business. The REAL PROBLEM is YOU. You are the ones who are all at fault because you didn’t make any money in Mary Kay. It’s nobody else’s fault. It’s not your director’s fault and it’s not the company’s fault. You make your business become what you put into it. It seems like a lot of women in here are in denial that the REAL PROBLEM is themselves and NOT Mary Kay. A lot of the Mary Kay consultants are not trained or do not want to be trained properly.
And It seems that a lot of the women that post in this website have no clue about on how to run a business and what it takes to run a business. You need to be persistent and to work the Mary Kay business correctly in order to make real money in it. I come to a conclusion that a lot of the women in here are bitching and moaning that they have been unsuccessful because they have NOT worked their Mary Kay business they way that they are supposed to.
All of you women are in DENIAL. Face up to it. You are nothing but a bunch of losers. A bunch of incompetent people who don’t understand how to work the Mary Kay business to become successful. You are lazy and you don’t know how to follow directions to succeed. That’s why you are all in here bitching and moaning and bashing Mary Kay.
Let me all tell you something that you need to get thru your thick skulls. There are MANY successful women who are currently doing Mary Kay that are making a very good income. And a lot of these successful Mary Kay consultants and Directors have purchased things like houses and investment properties from their Mary Kay income. They make money becasue they work the business the right way. They don’t slack off like the people who come into this website and complain.
All the women on this website who are bashing Mary Kay are nothing but a bunch of losers. Yes, that’s right. You are all a bunch of losers who don’t know anything about how to structure and run a business to become successful. You like to bash Mary Kay because you are not successful or because you have not been successful as a Mary Kay consultant or as a director.
A lot of Mary Kay consultants and directors don’t make any money in this business because they don’t do $hit to build their business. They don’t follow up, they don’t make the phone calls that they are supposed to do and they just don’t have any business plan.
These are the main REAL REASONS why all of you misfits who come into this website bash Mary Kay. Face it. You are all in denial and it’s causing you to be very negative towards Mary Kay.
Get with the program! Either go get a job for $10 – $15 an hour or become your own boss and work the Mary Kay business the right way and make a lot of money. And don’t blame Mary Kay for being a failure.

I actually own a business (17 years). My husband retired after owning his business for 20+ years. I also work in the HR field for an organization that makes a huge social impact in north Texas. I don’t need to work but I won’t give this up.

DING DING! If we look at the women making the Big Bucks… it’s all on the backs of those in their downline that are suffering. Seriously, this is true. My Sr. Director LOST future money on me when I decided to quit directorship and STOPPED ORDERING! You see, the only commission they receive is when their consultants or downline order…. NOT when a product is sold. I had a massive inventory at that point, and basically quit buying from MK corp, I traded product that I had in excess for items I was needing with other consultants to fulfill orders until I was at a point that I just stopped altogether. I gave away whatever was left and never looked back.
“Get With The Program.” Something tells me this is a Boomer who is still drinking the pink cool aid and spewing MKisms. I hope she wakes up soon so she doesn’t feel like she’s wasted her golden years in a cult.

And yet not a single one has ever ponied up any relevant tax forms to get it through our thick skulls.

You’re not wrong about me liking to bash Mary Kay! However, I have never been in it in any capacity, so there your assertion falls apart. I just lost a friendship over it.

Oh, they follow up and make phone calls, all right—to the point of harassment. (See previous note about lost friendship.) Re: the business plan, they don’t get to have one; they are strictly limited in what they’re allowed to do, in order to conceal market saturation.

Or…OR…and hear me out…go get a job that pays much more than $15/hour, plus offers benefits. Heck, the minimum wage in many places is $17/hour. Get with the times!

Imagine calling people losers and lecturing about business when you can’t tell the difference between running a real business and being a salesperson working for commissions. If you have upline you don’t run your own business. If someone else tells you what products to sell and how to sell them, you don’t run your own business. If Mary Kay can terminate you at any time, you don’t run your own business.

Well, that’s they tell you. You are not privy to all of their finances. I have friends of friends who are “successful” in different MLM companies. They all claim they got “everything from my little business”. But fail to mention their 9-5 jobs, their husband’s 9-5 jobs which funds their middle-class, middle-management, middle-aged life-style with the house, lakeside cottage and all the toys that go with that.
And why is Elizabeth aka Katie Toupin having to set up “Go Fund Me” after “Go Fund Me” to buy a touring van if she’s really a multi-million dollar director?

I couldn’t get a job here in Quebec at those pay-scales, much under the minimum wage. But this dichotomy between being a “poor worker” or being a Mary Kay Queen Bee, isn’t the be all and end of for employment opportunities. If everyone was selling Mary Kay, how could anyone be successful?
And don’t blame Mary Kay for being a failure.
It sounds like you think the Mary Kay is the failure. No-one is blaming Mary Kay for being a failure. Even though she started the company. She was the only real success year over year.
It’s the structure of the company which makes people fail. The figures from corporate prove it. The “I-Stories” prove it. The screenshots from directors groups prove. The fact that two anti-MLM YouTubers were copy-right struck by two different sales directors prove it.
I’d rather live on ‘The Island of MISFIT Toys’ than in the pink fog.
