How Many National Sales Directors Are Left in Mary Kay?
As of July 1, 2025, there were 122 active national sales directors in Mary Kay Cosmetics. In December, one new nsd was added to the roster, Missy O’Neal. That made 123 national sales directors, the lowest number in decades.
But massive changes (i.e. cost-cutting measures) at Mary Kay led to a whole bunch of nsds quitting as of January 1, 2026. A total of 34 nsds are no longer with the company, as evidenced by retirement announcements or the fact that they aren’t on the Mary Kay website anymore. Our friend Parsons Green was kind enough to put together a list of the national sales directors who are gone:

That leaves a grand total of 89 national sales directors left. This is very good for Mary Kay, because it cuts down the amount of money going out the door each month. Surely those who are left in the company will use the number as a badge of honor. It signifies just how EXCLUSIVE the title is.
No, it signifies that you don’t own a business and you can’t leave yet or you get zero. You’re hanging on for dear life and hoping that the company doesn’t meet its demise for another 10 or 20 years.
Some of the women retiring were at their mandatory retirement age. But many were not there yet. They are women who used to be “lifers” in Mary Kay, until they saw the writing on the wall. Mary Kay is in a death spiral and with a clown like Ryan Rogers at the helm, the odds of them coming out of it are low. Just ask Ryan’s dad.
