I have watched this over the years. Never commented. Today is the last day I will come here. I asked myself, “why would someone spend a lifetime spreading negativity about one company when there are certainly multi level businesses that deserve it more.” Well, I see the advertisements all over this site so all I can think is that it is money-related. Every time one of us come here, cha-ching.
I love my Mary Kay career. Was trained by Mary Kay herself. During a year of amputation earned $80,000, drove a Cadillac and that didn’t include my sales. Regarding weekly sheets. I have well over 100 people and five turn in those sheets and I have never turned in one and I have been in the court of sales eight times selling every piece of product I bought.
Have you read the Harvard study? Do you know the #1 National in the world is a Harvard graduate? Do you ever look for anything good? I have earned 19 cars with 38 years of driving Mary Kay cars in my 39 years.
Just because it doesn’t work for those of you who come on here and gripe doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for those of us who wouldn’t give up. I now do it in a wheelchair with one leg and I am still making it. I’m not as fast as I use to be, maybe not as good, but I believe when you change an outer look on a woman you change an inner feeling. In 39 years there have been more good times than bad.
But ask yourself as you read this garbage (and that is what it is). Why would someone spend their life trashing one company? She tried it and didn’t make it? Know people who tried it and didn’t make it? Doesn’t understand that Mary Kay or any other company isn’t for everyone. Apple isn’t for everyone. Facebook the company isn’t for everyone.
You have to find your niche in life. There is one thing I know. No one has ever come through my life that has not left with more confidence and pursued other dreams that came true. I have them come up to me and thank me for the influence I had in their lives.
I challenge everyone that comes here, look for joy not junk. I pray for you all that you find the company that works for YOU! Also, as a director we are under contract. If anyone chooses to pursue another company, they cannot use Mary Kay as the base of contacts. Therefore, they have to take one or the other. We are under contract. That is why they leave. They believe they have a calling helping people in other ways. Some will some won’t so what.
Everyone has a brain to decide what is best for them. I salute everyone who does. Goodbye to all of you who keep reading this trash. Personally, I love my Lord, Mary Kay the person, and Mary Kay the company. Through breast cancer, 40 surgeries on my leg, and amputation they have stood by me. Since this study is a vital part of the Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash mythos, I would expect each person who requested a copy from corporate to be able to produce it for inspection. However Harvard has denied teaching about it.

As someone who is currently working on a doctorate, I find myself bristling a bit at these honorary ones. My DNP is a lot of work! I spend a lot of time working on my project, collecting data, running statistical analyses (which is black magic voodoo math), writing reports, and ensuring I stay within IRB guidelines. This is in addition to a full-time job, working 38-45 hours a week.
Until you actually do the work, you have no earthly idea how much is involved.

I’m going to interpret that as she had to have a limb amputated and spent a year in recovery, though the notion of MK randomly chopping limbs off underperforming directors is hilarious to me in a Pythonesque way.
Much less amusing is how she’d have come by that 80 large and the pink Caddy: commissions she got from the recruitment and frontloading of her downline. In other words, their debt, sacrifice, lies, abuse, bullying, and failure.
Let’s not forget that if she was one of those trained by the Scam Queen herself, she must have been in on the scheme fairly early. Another fact about pyramid schemes is the earlier you get in, before the market is oversaturated and everyone is sick of hearing about it, th3 greater the chances of your success.
Therefore, her ramblings about what it takes to make it are useless and harmful because the era of Mary Kay where she found her success is way the hell over.

You have a lot of defensiveness going on here. Fid one piece here add disprove it. Look at one screenshot and defend, say, Ellen Bowman Cox calling women “heffers” or Monique’s many felony theft charges brought against her by the state of Texas.

There’s more than one lady here who tried and was successful in terms recognised by those in the know who turned their backs on the lies and deceit. We know of men whose wives fall deeper and deeper into debt trying to “keep up with the Joneses” in the Mary Kay hierarchy. There are those whose peaceful brunch was rudely interrupted by some-one looking for their next “sugar smart”

And??? Most respectable companies do that. They don’t want to lose a valuable member of staff. It’s simple economics.

Just imagine the 401K you would have had as an executive in a real business. Or even a mere peon. Instead, in the words of Willy Wonka, “you get nothing”.
Friend, you’re coming back to read the comments. Hear me. We were you. Maybe we didn’t start with Mary Kay herself and have your years in, but we did try. We’re good people with good hearts. We wanted to see women better themselves and reach financial security. Many of us put in 9+ years. I was winning, but the problem is I was the only one winning. How’s your unit? Are they rich car drivers too? I too have people come to me thanking me for how I was there for them in Mary Kay. It’s lovely. I’m still friends with former consultants of mine and former directors. But what sticks out are the ones who didn’t win. I watched one girl make horrific financial decisions to move up. I let her convince me (and I convinced myself) that she’d pay this all off. I watched women go behind their husbands backs to purchase product. You know you’ve witnessed this. And if you have, you cannot call yourself a leader or follower of Christ. What you’re allowing is sinful, unbiblical, and flat out wrong.
I earned 5 cars, bar pins, so many prizes.. and I know the orders I put in myself and orders consultants did when they couldn’t. You cannot sit here and tell me you’ve never done that. Corporate knows and does not care. Nationals know and do not care. I have director friends still in hustling the same way. They know how they’ll finish June. They do not care. They’ll answer for how they’ve hurt people.
It’s serious business. Please truly consider what you’re doing.
