Freedom From Mary Kay!

Happy Independence Day! It’s also a great time to celebrate your freedom from the pink cult of Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Also, Pink Truth turns 19 years old today. Thanks for your support for all these years. Mary Kay was sure we’d go away quickly, but we’re still here!

Happy Independence Day to all our readers!

Today, while we celebrate the birth of our nation and the freedoms we hold dear, we also mark another important milestone: the anniversary of Pink Truth.

Nineteen years ago, this site began as Mary Kay Sucks, a small corner of the internet dedicated to telling the truth about the pink pyramid. Back then, many people (including Mary Kay Cosmetics themselves) were convinced this platform would fade away. They thought our voices would be silenced, that the stories of deception, debt, and disappointment would stay hidden.

They were wrong.

Nearly two decades later, Pink Truth is still here, shining a light on the reality behind the pink curtain and giving thousands of women the support and validation they could not find anywhere else. Every day, more women find the courage to step away from the pink fog and reclaim their independence, their finances, and their peace of mind.

So today, as you celebrate freedom with your friends and family, take a moment to honor your personal independencefrom the manipulation, the guilt, and the endless cycle of false promises. Whether you left Mary Kay years ago or just yesterday, you deserve to feel proud of the choice you made to break free.

Thank you for being part of this community and for standing with us all these years. We are still here. We are still telling the truth. And we are not going anywhere.

Happy Independence Day and Happy Anniversary to Pink Truth!

  1. Happy Anniversary, Pink Truth! Those of us who were never in MK have met our share of Kaybots. Keep up the good work!👍

  2. I’m proud to have been a consultant for 37 years now. Mary Kay does not hold anyone hostage. I’m sorry that you feel the need to spew garbage

  3. Trying to remember when I was told about “that site”… it was 2008? I was a struggling director and I just couldn’t justify the hamster wheel any longer. I’ve been reading for about 17 yrs (wow!)… but it wasn’t until I gave up my directorship that I felt like I could post about my experience. Tracy, I’m so very grateful for all your time and effort in keeping this forum up and running. It’s an invaluable resource for so many. To all you PT contributors- you’ve kept me sane when I was exiting Pink Hell, I’ve never met you in person, but feel like we’ve become friends. I’m grateful for the comradery this site brings. I’ve pointed many MK consultants to read it… some came to their senses, some didn’t – NEXT!

All this to say… Thanks my PT friends! Here’s to many more years of shining the light!

      • yes… still here, reading when I can. I don’t post as much as I used to, as I feel like I’ve been healing up well from the trauma of MK. (although, lately been having MK yr end dreams… too weird!)

Still can’t believe it’s been 17 yrs. Time has flown by. Both my children are grown- our daughter was married last summer, our son-living his best single life! 😉 Life is good and no complaints! Thanks again Tracy for all you do!
