True Christian Principles in Mary Kay

I stumbled on your site by accident. I’ve been doing Mk for over 20yrs. I’ve experienced all the negative aspects of OWNING one’s own business. It’s surprising to me that you would spend so much time thinking and persuading others to be more negative. You must not be very successful in other endeavors of your life.

You can bash Mk all you want and it will still stand because it was and is a company founded on true CHRISTIAN principles. If I owned a McDonald’s franchise I would still have to deal with reality that people will like Burger King, In and Out, Sonic, Jack in the Box, etc… more than they like the food at McDonald’s.

I’m not a Director although I’ve been in D.I.Q twice and I probably know far more about the Company than you, including all the nationals and different aspects of the company you thrash. I know SO MANY women who live off of their re-orders and have a personal customer base which you neglect to mention. Yes much of what you all have to say can be true, but all of LIFE IS YOUR ATTITUDE and how you handle day to day disappointment in every aspect of your life.

No, I haven’t quit and I don’t write this in hope that you’ll stop bashing Mary Kay. I will pray for you personally “pinktruth” because the TRUTH OF GOD will set you free. I doubt you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. I’ll pray that you’ll meet HIM (JESUS), then maybe you can spend the rest of your LIFE BUILDING YOURSELF UP, instead of drawing you and others down in to the unending, swirling world of NEGATIVITY which only leads to death. I will pray for you, truthfully.

  1. Nice try OP. I doubt Jesus approves of all the materialism, greed and manipulation that goes on in MLMs like Mary Kay. Promoting, as a financial opportunity, a system which creates financial harm for over 99% of participants, borders on evil.

I am curious how Jesus feels about you praying for folks to look the other way while you and your Mary Kay sisters exploit others.

  2. She knows more than us? Hunny, we were Mary Kay. We were the face of it. We’re here because we were you until we woke up and realize it doesn’t work. Like you said, diq twice. And I’m sure you blame yourself for not finishing. It’s not you, it’s the process.

Jesus is the reason I’m on the other side. Watching consultants take out another bank loan, watching them (and myself) go to seminar when we couldn’t afford it, selling to people who I know didn’t have the money.. I could go on and on. I couldn’t sleep! It’s called conviction. I suppose I could ask you the same question.. is Jesus your savior because how have you not let yourself be convicted of this yet? It’s not that He hasn’t tried, you’re just listening to your director who hasn’t slept since she hit diq because she’s desperate for production.

We get it though. The pink fog is thick. Not judging you for being there because I was too. Cars, bar pins, even a trip. It was only an act of God that could have made me leave, so I’ll save my thumbs. You’ll leave in time. I kept reading this too while I was in MK. Reading what everyone hated about MK and determined to run a business without doing all the things pink truth said. It’s not possible. You can’t do both. So now I’m on this side of pink truth and I can sleep each night. I don’t wake up thinking about how many days left in the month or if this consultant is fighting with her husband about money or whatever else.

Happy Friday! It’s August 1 and I didn’t even know!

    Sighs…

I’ve been doing Mk for over 20yrs. I’ve experienced all the negative aspects of OWNING one’s own business.

Sorry ma’am but you do not OWN a business. That pleasure belongs to a certain Ryan Rogers. You own Mary Kay as much as you own Apple if you have an iPhone or Microsoft if your computer runs on Windows.

It’s surprising to me that you would spend so much time thinking and persuading others to be more negative. You must not be very successful in other endeavors of your life.

I think you haven’t read anything here or you would see that many of the commentariat are successful while others are content in their work. And none of us are negative at all.

You can bash Mk all you want and it will still stand because it was and is a company founded on true CHRISTIAN principles.

Ah, yes! The Christian values of lying (50% profit), honoring your mother (signing her up as your downline with or without her knowledge or permission), theft (getting women to spend money they don’t have, time they need for other things, the loyalty they own to their husbands and families all used to further YOUR dream) and of course, putting another God first!(the idolisation of Mary Kay ). Such strong Biblical principles!

If I owned a McDonald’s franchise I would still have to deal with reality that people will like Burger King, In and Out, Sonic, Jack in the Box, etc… more than they like the food at McDonald’s.

If you were to buy a McD’s franchise, you would be guaranteed that there would be no others in a certain hinterland. Nor would you be expected to recruit at least three people to own their own McD. Sure you’d still have to produce a product which people prefer to eat but it wouldn’t be in completion with other people hawking the exact same goods but at different and often lower prices trying to get that last elusive dollar out of a tired audience.

I’m not a Director although I’ve been in D.I.Q twice and I probably know far more about the Company than you, including all the nationals and different aspects of the company you thrash.

I don’t need to “know” these directors to read their social media. If I read Ellen Bowman Cox calling other women “heffers” is that me thrashing her? If I read about Monique committing felony fraud who does that reflect on? Seeing Jaime beg for money for cocktails?

I know SO MANY women who live off of their re-orders and have a personal customer base which you neglect to mention.

Like to name one of these women who earn over $35,000 per annum on re-orders alone? because IF some-one was ordering $70k WS they would be lauded to the skies., giving speeches at Seminar, teaching at directors trainings.

Yes much of what you all have to say can be true, but all of LIFE IS YOUR ATTITUDE and how you handle day to day disappointment in every aspect of your life.

Here’s an inconvenient truth your directors don’t want you to know, the 2024 Canadian Income Disclosure

No, I haven’t quit and I don’t write this in hope that you’ll stop bashing Mary Kay. I will pray for you personally “pinktruth” (sic) because the TRUTH OF GOD will set you free.

You are missing the point, the Truth did set some of us Free. God pointed out the lies of Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash’s company and led them to real peace.

Here Endeth this PTCs Lesson. Another mish-mash of lies, omissions and outright deceit wrapped in a very thin coat of moral superiority and Christianese.

  4. “You can bash Mk all you want and it will still stand because it was and is a company founded on true CHRISTIAN principles. If I owned a McDonald’s franchise I would still have to deal with reality that people will like Burger King, In and Out, Sonic, Jack in the Box, etc… more than they like the food at McDonald’s.”

What the heck do these things even have to do with each other?

First of all, MK wasn’t found on Christian principles. It was founded by Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash to use people to make her lots and lots of money. The whole Christian Company thing is just window dressing to make it appealing to religious people while hididng its mercenary undertones.

Secondly, yes, different people like different fast food joints. However, before opening up a franchise, you’d have to submit a business plan proving it would be worthwhile, which would take into account the location and popularity of your competitors. Also, you’d order perishables based on average sales and wouldn’t overprepare ingredients to minimize waste. It’s a little different than “Hey, Literally Any Random Person Met on the Street, want to sign up? Great! Now order thousands of dollars worth of inventory so I get a bonus for a qualified recruit… don’t worry, you’ll sell it (when pigs fly).”

As for your two DIQ attempts, why didn’t you make it? Was it because A) MK’s reputation preceeds itself so no one wants to sign up, hold parties, or buy make up from a consultant when you can just go into a store and buy better, cheaper stuff with no rigmarole, or B) you suck? You might suck; I don’t know you. But my smart money is on A.

I’m not quite sure how you managed to stumble over this site given the safety rails, warning signs, bumpers, alligator pits, and electrified fences, but something made you decide to visit The Forbidden Site ™. Stop thumping your Bible at us and take a minute to ponder what the something was.

  5. 20 years, why are you not an NSD?

Lies, greed, delusion, hypocrisy, anti-education, cruelty… I’m not joining either one of your cults.

    • Why isn’t she a director even?

And as far as my other endeavors, I’ve been promoted twice at a job I love, I own a successful franchise (a real one), and I was regarded enough for my two terms on city council that I was asked to run (and won) a seat on my new city’s council. Oh then there’s that 30 year marriage I’ve got going on.

  6. Yeah, you all are just jealous because she was in D.I.Q twice!! Twice I tell you!! So there mic drop! 🎤 boom

    – LoL I’m joking!! That’s embarrassing. That’s like saying in 20 years of gambling I hit twice. I hope she reads this. Lady please stop doing Mary Kay.
