December 2025 Nsd Commissions
Thanks to one of our friends at Pink Truth, the Mary Kay national sales director commission numbers for December 2025 have arrived!
The position of national sales director (nsd) is the highest in the pyramid and it’s supposed to represent prestige and it’s supposed to come with huge earnings. Over the last 20 years, the numbers have dwindled. There were always a few big name women who made eye watering sums of money each month. But the masses at the nsd level? This is not executive income.
And now that Mary Kay is circling the drain and Mary Kay Ash’s family is fighting over money, prizes and perks are being taken away from the nsds. The writing is on the wall about the MLM business model, and the future of MK is very uncertain at this point.
Let’s see what we have for December! Of the 122 nsds who hadn’t yet retired (massive flood of retirements in January 2026, though)… we have a grand total of 49 who made $10,000 or more in commissions. That means a whopping 60% of nsds made less than 10k. Tell me again where the executive in come is?

Looks like Emerald will be the next area to disappear. When I was in years ago there were 5 areas.
And, of course, we have to deduct all the expenses these women incur. Travel, prizes, contests for their downline, self employment taxes, on and on and on. Pathetic.
These numbers blow my mind when you think about the number of women in each area. Hundreds of women in these units and 60% of the highest leaders aren’t event making $10k in comissions. It begs the question, what are these hundreds of women selling…if anything?! So wild.
And even wilder that the top two are bringing in over $40k. Funny how they preach anyone can make big money, be successful, and you can promote yourself…why haven’t the 60% of top leaders not promoted themselves and make big bucks like Sonia and Patricia??
They should release a report like this on a monthly basis for sales directors. I remember SDs would only share their highest commision check when talking about the “opportunity”.
Thank you to our friend on the inside for sharing this very interesting information!
Is Hilda Lupita’s daughter?
Note all the Hispanic names, especially at/near the top. They likely have large teams in Latin America and South America. They speak the language(s), understand the culture…all in a wide-open market. Certainly can’t blame them for taking advantage of opportunities.
“Nancy National” in Springfield can’t match that.
None of the nsd’s I knew made this list, including Nancy Osborn, who is rumored to be retiring at leadership… And I used to have moments of jealousy when I was working at a non-profit with traumatized kiddos. We weren’t paid much, but our work mattered.
I always chuckle when consultants get a “prize” and brag that it’s just for a select few or only 1% of 1% get the car/trip/whatever like that’s a good thing. I thought anyone could make it in MK, why are so few getting the prizes? The roads should be full of pink caddies and the airports constantly bustling with consultants jetting off to everywhere if the lies consultants tell were true.
They’re more interested in showing off bring in an “elite” clique than maintaining to pretense that MK is for everyone.
That’s funny! So I did 20 years in the Air Force, even became disabled before retirement and take home more than most of the remaining NSD’s? Plus my benifits AND income are lifetime! Yep! Take career advice from broke sales directors and quit you day job ladies…lol!
OK- I’ll be honest. That isn’t bad pay for one month. Is December usually the highest commission? I mean, $59K for one month..but maybe $5K a month after that is horrible. Are these women at the very tippy top always on the very top ?
Regardless–not impressed. I could not look in the mirror at what I had to do to get to the top.
That is before taxes and before expenses (and chargebacks is anyone under them quits). It is not all spendable income.
These amounts don’t hold a candle next to what the top NSD’s made in my time with Mary Kay. Carol Anton, Sue Kirkpatrick, Gloria Mayfield-Banks, Kathy Helou and others made twice as much toward the end of their careers. It kind of tells the story that Mary Kay Cosmetics is not what it used to be
“49 who made $10,000 or more in commissions” … that is BEFORE taxes and expenses, it is not spendable income.
