Somer Continues to Fail Forward

Written by Parsons Green

Somer Fortenberry has been featured on the front page of Pink Truth several times.  Somer, I know I’m thankful that you consistently post your totals on Facebook so we can share how awful the Mary Kay opportunity really is.

In the November’s midmonth report, Somer’s husband Craig shared that their team was only 21% of the way to meeting Somer’s monthly goal. They only had 37 new consultants. Only 6 of those consultants ordered a minimum of $600 in inventory. Only 17 of the consultants ordered $600 inventory in total for the month.

Somer only had one first time red in the middle of November. If selling Mary Kay is so easy, why would she need to only recognize first time reds? (I bet lots of women in MK don’t even realize that women go in and out of the red jacket over and over.) Why doesn’t she make the same distinction for her DIQs? Many women go in and out of DIQ over and over too. I’d love to Somer post how many times each of her consultants has been a red jacket or a DIQ.

Craig and Somer want to remind everyone to register for January Jumpstart. 152 consultants have signed up at $52 a pop! Over $7000 in Somer’s pockets for this event where you will learn how to revitalize your Mary Kay business. I wonder if there’s a jump start for nsds that Somer can join?

  1. I wonder how much longer before she decides to jump ship with the rest of the NSDs. Every year gets worse for her, corporate keeps finding ways to limit their perks, and with Big Changes coming soon, at some point you’ve got to realize it’s better to leave with something than stay and get screwed.
