Director Closes Down Her My Shop
Written by Parsons Green
Karen Brass has been with Mary Kay for 35 years. She recently shared a picture of herself with Mary Kay Ash and wanted to remind everyone it costs zero to be grateful.

At the beginning of the year, Karen boldly predicted 2026 would be her best year yet – including a link to her Mary Kay profile page for shopping.

However, when it was time for her anniversary sale, Karen didn’t include a link to her profile – just asked people to email, call or text for 35% off their order. Why is that?

Karen explained why in the Facebook groups. Her customers claimed they were placing orders on her myshop page, but Karen wasn’t receiving credit for those.

Another director shared that customers were receiving emails from the company that included a link to “find a consultant” even though they were registered to shop through that consultant’s myshop.

Karen replied on that thread that she has deleted her myshop account. She contacted over 700 customers and reached 80% of them. They are trying to order from her, but a myshop glitch is not giving her the order. This is why Richard was suing Ryan. (Oopsie, Karen. It’s the other way around. Ryan sued Richard!)
Karen has had over 10 phone calls with Fernando from corporate. When he has reached out to Karen’s customers, he cannot determine a cause for this issue. Karen took the bold step of deleting all her customers from her mycustomers profile. This prevents her from using the PCP Program which mails a catalog to them. She’ll only send them a digital link. All her customers will receive a gift with purchase on any order over $40. She used to average 10 online orders a week before myshop and only had 17 between December 18th and June 30th.

If you were to click on Karen’s link, you’ll see this pop up.

Fortunately, there’s a handy link to find another consultant if you don’t want to have to text or email Karen to place your order. I also wonder if Karen opted out of the clause in the new consultant agreement that forbids consultants from joining in a class action lawsuit against the company? I also wonder how many more times Karen will call Fernando.
With a nod, to the classic ABBA song, I do believe there’s something in the air tonight, and it’s a move to an affiliate model for Mary Kay.
There was something in the air that nightThe stars were bright, FernandoThey were shining there for you and meFor liberty, FernandoThough I never thought that we could loseThere’s no regretIf I had to do the same againI would, my friend, Fernando

If true, this is impressive. She must have blasted out an email…just think how long it would take to call 700 people!
This all makes me wonder if this whole MyShop debacle is not a glitch at all, but a silent revolt from outside MK “customers”. How easy is it to say, “Yes, I placed an order on MyShop” and the MK rep has no way of knowing whether this is true. Just think of the (temporary) relief on the part of the customer knowing their purchases are no longer tracked by a nosey MK consultant!
But alas, Karen’s customers are now right back to regular harassment from their Karen. Doh!
