You would think the Mary Kay lovers could come up with new talking points? No. I guess I should have tried harder!

Seriously. You women who have felt this way maybe Mary Kay wasn’t for you. But you can’t speak for everyone. The products are awesome and they are backed up with guarentees…

And to those of you that dedicate your lives to the ‘pink truth’… you obviously have no life. Get over it. You may be telling the truth and hitting the facts, but for those of you that it didn’t work you either didn’t try hard enough or you didn’t listen to what had worked for other women in he past 50 something years.. its not for everyone!!! But don’t put others down because you didn’t make your goals… the products sell themselves. You don’t have to be a director to make money!!!!! But if you choose to that’s up to you.

Clever use of words. I’d like to meet an IBC that is turning a true business profit, meaning more money received from customers (in aggregate) than spent (in aggregate) on the business by the IBC. Those claiming this need to show a Sched C or it did not happen.

Spoiler alert: It did not happen.

  2. If the product sells itself, why does every MK minion have thousands of dollars of unsold merch sitting around cluttering up the place?

I don’t think we claimed to speak for every-one.

The products are awesome and they are backed up with guarentees (sic)…

The former is subjective and the latter is routinely commonplace.

And to those of you that dedicate your lives to the ‘pink truth’… you obviously have no life. Get over it.

I have a life. it doesn’t involve stalking other women in shops or restaurants, or DM-ing random people. I’m not C&P-ing what my up-line sends me to my book of faces or Instagram feed. Providing it isn’t very tall, I can get over it easily.

You may be telling the truth and hitting the facts,

We are but I don’t think that’s what you are worried about.

but for those of you that it didn’t work you either didn’t try hard enough or you didn’t listen to what had worked for other women in he(sic) past 50 something years.. its not for everyone!!!

Ah! Yes!! The usual dichotomy of “it’s so easy, every-one can do it” versus “if it didn’t for you, it’s YOUR FAULT”.

But don’t put others down because you didn’t make your goals…

    A nice dollop of victim-blaming.

    the products sell themselves.

Which is no doubt why self-proclaimed “princess” Chelsea is constantly having half-price or BOGO sales ,I guess.

You don’t have to be a director to make money!!!!!

Apart from the fact that Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash’s company only releases that amount they pay out in commissions based on the orders of a person’s downline shows that there isn’t a lot of money to be made.

But if you choose to that’s up to you.

SO choose to guilt, lie, manipulate or just buy your way to financial freedom on your meagre earnings (https://i.redd.it/7p73s2hz0bi81.jpg).

  4. She says that Pink Truthers have no life? What kind of life does the writer have if she has the time to read PT and even respond to it??? Maybe she needs a break from her ‘warm chatting’ strangers? A coworker in retail once started commnenting on my skin–out of nowhere. I thought it was odd but let it go. Then, another coworker said to me, “This is weird–S just asked me what skin routine I use and if I am happy with it.” Click! Of course, S had signed up for MaryKay the previous weekend and was told to talk to ‘anyone with skin’. She was left with hundreds of dollars of unsold products. I wish I’d known about PT then–I’d have led her to it.

  5. Hey OP, I don’t think snooping on Pink Truth and writing a nastygram counts as an “income producing activity”. That rapidly-deteriorating inventory isn’t gonna sell itself, sweetie. 😘

However, I’ll give you a good suggestion that’ll recoup some of your losses…just resign and send it all back to Mary Kay.

  6. These critics really believe that we all spend this much time on Pink Truth because we are throwing a tantrum? Sadly, they are going to have to face their own inevitable failure and then have to turn the finger on themselves. They’ll keep quiet because of shame. Which is exactly the way Mary Kay likes it.

  7. Regarding that guarantee, MK puts the burden on consultants (aka screws them over) on returns. If someone returns something to the consultant, MK doesn’t give the consultant money back, it gives the consultant a credit for the NEXT wholesale order. So, you have to buy $250 wholesale to get that $7 credit if a customer decided she didn’t like that lipstick color after all.
Just another way that being a MK consultant sucks.

  8. “You don’t have to be a director to make money!!!!!”

That’s true!!!!! Directors don’t make any money either!!!!! You have to be several levels above Director to make money!!!!! And even then, it’s a crap shoot!!!!!

    • Lol, you know who makes money in Mary Kay? The corporate employees (who are not small biznezz ownerz like IBCs) earning salary, benefits, health insurance, and so on!

  9. LMAO. There’s something so funny about this person essentially saying, “You may be telling the truth and citing actual facts to back it up, but HOW DARE YOU TELL THE TRUTH AND CITE ACTUAL FACTS?? 😡”

Like… you really wrote all that and didn’t even notice the self-own. No wonder you believe this crap.

  10. Did any one these recent critics to this site mention how much extra money they were making or how much extra time they have with family now, especially if they contacted anonymously? We all know the answer to that.

  11. First off, I am a guy. I stumbled across this site one dreary winter day as I trolled the internet for anti-MLM content. My story: I watched and MLM destroy a good friend’s life. His wife got majorly sucked in and even dragged my wife into it. He lost his house over his wife’s obsession and I lost my friend because my wife figured it out and eventually had to distance herself, causing even more problems because we weren’t “supportive”. His wife declared us Personna non Grata and I lost my long-time friend. So I have hate for MLMs. Hate may be too light of a word.

I say all that to establish why I hate MLMs. So in my search for answers and information, I stumbled across this site, which as far as I can tell, tries to bring a little truth to one of the most well known MLMs out there – Mary Kay. Everyone who has any level of intellectual capacity knows MK, Amway, Lulumon, Rodan & Fields, etc. are predatory, Multi-Level Marketing schemes. Only the most gullible and brain-washed individual believes otherwise. And then I see the original poster’s “Get a life” post. Wow. Just, wow.

Think about that. OP is so brainwashed and obsessed with NOT being called out for being in an MLM, she (I assume a she here) goes on to a clearly anti-MLM site and posts a very cliché post to do what? What was the intent? All these women who’ve been burned, lost money, friends, and dignity would read her post and say what? They were mistaken? LOL!

Nope my dear OP. Nope. But I do want you to know one thing, all these women survivors here will gladly help you when you finally wake up and need to get out. Their stories will give you encouragement and where you once belittled them, they will happily extend a hand and help you. I know this because there are few people more sympathetic to MLM victims than MLM survivors themselves.

Kudos to the moderators for leaving this post up as a shining example of just how these MLMs can affect people. To the OP – I hope you get help sooner than later and I look forward to seeing you back here once you’ve been liberated to hear your story.

    • Hi Brad – Every Friday I showcase a comment or email or direct message from a “Pink Truth Critic.” It’s our way to have a little bit of fun with things. 🙂

  12. Well, at least she’s not denying that we are actually telling facts on here. Lady, my pink Cadillacs and Diamond bar pins didn’t come magically. Ask me about all the nights, weekends, and LIFE I missed trying to get them.
