Passing On Your Mary Kay Unit

Written by Parsons Green

We recently talked about retiring Mary Kay nsds who left their units to their new sales director sons. It’s time to talk about two nsds who passed the “legacy” to their daughters.

In October 2024, Diane Mentiply reached out to at least five of her directors to let them know she was going to retire from Mary Kay and move over to Shaklee. She invited them to come with her because Mary Kay was crumbling. Directors asked her how much she was paid to join Shaklee, or what level she’d be in the company, but Diane ghosted them.

In November 2024, Diane messaged her directors that she’d no longer be attending Leadership in January.

Diane originally discussed dividing her unit between her four first line directors. But towards the end of 2024, she announced she was going to give the unit to her daughter Rochelle. Rochelle had never been in Mary Kay but decided to rejoin and become a director.

Even though Diane retired, she still participated in a consultant event in March. Rochelle was there, not in career attire, but as the sound person for the program. She did not speak about her Mary Kay business at any time at the event. She also did not attend seminar.

Rochelle has a job in IT, and she’s in three different bands. So, unfortunately, she was not able to devote much time to being a director and is now back down to being a consultant. Interestingly, her mother still holds monthly invitation only events for Mary Kay sales directors at her home. I am not sure if she’s charging for these events, but if she is, that’s not very go give of her!

And then we have Katie Toupin, daughter of Linda Toupin. Linda retired in January 2023. Katie inherited her unit and became the #1 Director in the Ruby Seminar every year since. At the 2024 seminar, Linda bragged that her and Katie’s team have had a million dollar year for 29 out of 30 years! (Again this $1million total is based on $500,000 in wholesale orders by the downline and may include one or more months of double credit!)

Surprisingly, Linda didn’t post anything about how Katie finished this year but other people did. She was again the #1 Sales Director in Ruby but only hit the $900,000 mark. This was the last year for the Ruby division as it was dissolved into the Diamond, Emerald, and Sapphire divisions.

At the $900,000 unit club level, Katie would be expected to earn a commission rate of 23%. Based on $450,000 wholesale, that would bring her approximately $103.500 in commissions. Yes, this is more than the average salary of $54,600 in the state of Kenutcky which ranks 48 of our 50 in the cost of living as well. However, it doesn’t take into account any of her unit expenses. Estimating a expense (and chargeback rate) of 50%, she’d only bringing in $51,750. And this is for the top director in the former Ruby

Katie has multiple streams of incoming to support her and her flailing musical career as country singer Candi Jenkins.

She took time out of her busy schedule to appear as Candi at a Mary Kay event held by her Mom and Pamela Shaw. (I wonder why she’s not in a director jacket?)

You can buy items from her Katie Toupin online store.

With all her touring, she sent a plea to her fans. Please help her buy a van for touring. (Can’t she lease/buy something with her monthly car award?)

And finally, if you are interested, you can buy feet and lingerie pics from her Patreon store. You can subscribe to the Eye Candi tier for $25 a month, but she also offers a la carte options.

  1. That last paragraph though! 😳😂 I still say that selling feet pics is far more honorable than manipulating women into debt.

    • I agree. I have zero problems with sex work as long as everything is 1000% consensual and all parties are 18+ because at least sex workers are being honest about what they’re selling.

  2. Gosh, I can’t imagine why Rochelle WOULDN’T want to give up a stable career in IT in our chronically online world to become the figurehead of Mommy Dearest’s MK unit (rolleyes to infinity… and beyond).

  3. She made more money revealing her new swimsuit to subscribers than I ever did selling makeup.

Hey trolls.. justify this please.. you can’t.

How’d she do $900,000 unit club when she’s busy laying on her bed taking pictures of her legs? Yes. Mommy Linda. Can’t wait for MK to uncover this, Pam, that other son.. at least Diane’s daughter fell out of directorship. Maybe a glimmer of honesty there. She did her directors so wrong tho.

Horrible examples to follow. The only way to succeed in MK is to have a unit handed to you. Gah I hate when rules don’t apply to everyone.

  4. Man, the longer I’m out, the more respect I lose for these people.

I thought it was bad with all the NSDs started getting divorced in a company that touted Faith, Family, Career….now we got top directors selling feet picks. How would her team feel about that? Ick!
