The Future Oasis Area

In September 2022, Megan Wilkes Coleman proudly declared that she would debut her national area by May 2023. (You know where this is going. It’s almost 3 years after she was supposed to finish her area, and she’s not even close.)
At the time, Megan had three first line directors. She also had three DIQs, one of whom was professional DIQ Lauren Wagner. (Note: Lauren recently declared her 7th attempt at becoming a director.)
Sadly, Megan did not finish her national area but did earn the top directors trip to Barcelona by hitting $650,000 fake retail “sales”. (She took the cash option instead)
In October 2023, Megan shared that she’s earned 46 gold medals in her time in Mary Kay. A gold medal means that Megan has signed up 5 or more consultants in a month. The consultants then have ordered at least $600 in inventory. At the minimum, that’s 230 consultants with $138,000 in wholesale orders. (At the time she had been in May Kay 10 years). Where are all these consultants today? Why aren’t they sticking around?
In May 2024, Megan attended an event where she signed a card signifying her commitment to becoming an nsd.
Unfortunately, Megan did not debut as a NSD by June 2024. She also failed to earn the top director trip. She and her team had $525,000 in “sales” which is approximately $262,500 in wholesale orders, most of which is probably sitting in basements, garages, and closets of Megan’s downline.
She then dedicated 2025 to earning the top director trip to Budapest. On June 30th 2025, she changed her focus to finishing the year as a $500,000 unit. She ended the year as a $450,000 unit and did not earn the trip.

But she didn’t want anyone to forget in 2025 that she was also going to become a national sales director!
Megan is committed to earning the 2026 Top Director Trip to Switzerland.
Megan recently held her own January Jumpstart to get her team ready to finish the Mary Kay year strong. Mary Kay Inc. even sent someone to bring sample jackets and jewelry for her team to check out! Megan’s goal for 2026 is to keep it simple sweetie. Mary Kay has a tried and true business model. You just need to follow it.

Megan currently has three directors – Kaitlyn, Jamie, and Anastasia. Former taco director Carly Phetteplace is back in DIQ so hopefully Megan came pick up 16 more directors by the end of the year to finally finish the Oasis National Area.

Begging is such a sound business plan. I’ll bet it works every time. Just ask a panhandler!
Arrrgh, yes, the whole “buy stuff from me so I can do thing!!!” annoys the heck out of me. As a customer, I want to know why the product is a good thing for me, not why me buying it benefits you.
Of course most retailers train their staff in their products and customer service, and have a more sensible business model than:
1) Collect underpants… I mean, buy up a bunch of unsellable inventory
2) ???
3) PROFIT!
Oasis Area?? More like Mirage Area.
Oh, yeah, another kvetch. Use readable fonts, for Pete’s sake. It looks like “Futube Oaziz Aben” and probably summons Cthulu or something.

This reminds me of something that happens in some Olympic sports. If a high jumper or pole vaulter misses a certain height once, they can skip a second attempt and move on to the next height. Megan seems to be trying the same thing, except with no proven success on the lower bar. “Well, I’ve never had more than 6 SDs at once in 12 years, so obviously I will be able to find, groom and launch 16 SDs in the next 6 months.”
I’m still waiting for the Fog People to defend the use of the word “sales” when everyone knows it really means “products ordered from MK”- and now sits as unsellable inventory in consultants homes and cars.
Never. THey will never say this out loud. It’s a pyramid scheme if anyone admits it.
The Oasis area, huh? I hope they don’t look back in anger after their wonderwall collapses.
Sorry, terrible joke, I know, but I couldn’t resist. (And while Noel and Liam Gallagher may be known for some unsavory stuff, I don’t think that MLMing was ever noted. 😆)
