Ya know… the Pontiac Grand Prix was a great car. It had that 3800-series engine in it that was a screamer (and a solid engine for Chevy). Le sigh.. car nostalgia is real.
How embarrassing, and those cheesy songs. This has an “lonely lady hires a male escort” vibe.
I think I saw Cleta in there.
I have to admit that most of them are dressed way better than the current generation in their fashion don’ts. Except for the ones in the Richard Simmons workout video and the ones dressed up as Vajayjay the Jet Plane.
But, yeah, so much cringe then and now…
Sigh.

That was my first seminar when they hooked me in. I was brand new, had been a consultant for a year and was already in debt because I used the money I made to “reinvest” in my business to get to a full inventory instead of paying off my CC., because that was what I was trained to do. It took me 12 years and 3 different units
( due to attrition) to figure out I’d never make money in this gig.
Spunsilk! That was my very first seminar as well! I was 2 months in by the time I had arrived in Dallas. I was blown away by what I saw & believed it all. It took years for me to unravel all of that and to see it for the scam it really is.
One of my favorite little videos on the PT YouTube page is the MK Promo from 1980 “All your tomorrows”. what’s really fascinating is the comments. There are only 4 but they are apparently from people who enjoyed seeing the good old days. Go figure.
That makes me curious to know if someone would watch these videos and say “that looks great!” without considering that these videos are decades old.

What a gem! It’s a slick piece of marketing. They are even more dressed up and polished than the 90’s women from Up Up and Away.
So, DIQ’s had their own week in Dallas (at their own expense, of course), they got invited to Mary Kay’s house to hear her platitudes in person and get photographs of themselves in her tub for some reason.

Wow, that brings back a lot of memories. 1980 was the year I was first introduced to the product. I was a brand new mom. I bought the whole collection.
Lol! I attended scaminar right around that time. Yep, promptly went home and sent my inventory back. Thank goodness, no credit cards back then! But I never spent more than can could afford. Learned from other’s bad habits..
