Open Houses with MyShop
Written by Parsons Green
Pat Ringnalda is worried. She holds an annual holiday open house, but will MyShop handle the volume of orders she typically gets?

Connie Bratcher hates MyShop. She usually has 50 orders, but has to call, text, emails and mail reminders to her customers not to use it. When they do, she loses money on the shipping cost because they can pick up from her inventory for free.

Brigette Iglay thinks Mary Kay is using MyShop to steal her customers. (We here at Pink Truth questioned things from the start, and wondered if MK was creating procedures to take customers from consultants.) She pays for a third party program to track her customer info.

Mary Robeson has a simple solution. There should be special button for beauty emergencies. The customer should also be able to choose to have the order fulfilled by her consultant. (This is the way it used to be and Mary Kay will never go back.). Jo Anne Aikens does not recognize the company she’s been part of for 47 years. Lynette Bickley wants everyone to email Mary Kay.

Susan Celi loves her clients and never charges shipping – and gives free gifts for any order over $40! She’s been selling for 46 years.

Pat Ringnalda jumps back in to share that she used to have 10-12 website orders a month, and only has had 10 total since MyShop launched. She’s down 50% in sales. She’s called the company six times. Karen Brass again shares her story about how MyShop is tanking her sales.

Kristi Mimbela shares her strategy. She gives her customers 5% cash back for their yearly spend to use at her Open House. She’s trying to sell 63 items and will give a $63 gift card to one of the lucky buyers. (Or at least she says she will). She personally loves my shop and feels its best for consultants and not directors.

When will these directors realize Mary Kay does not care about any of the inventory they have sitting around your house. They have earned their money from your purchase. Customers want to order product the easiest way possible. They’re not going to take pictures of products to text an order to their director. They don’t need constant reminders from their Mary Kay consultant.
Virtual open houses are also a bust.
Did we mention that Mary Kay is basically a sinking ship and the consultants and directors are going to be left without lifeboats????

😂 That made me laugh. How unprofessional does that look to her customers? I understand why consultants hate My Shop, but getting hounded by a consultant about what method I should use to shop would be so weird. Imagine Sephora (or even Target) texting reminders to buy in person, not from our online store.
