Jamie Taylor’s 2025 Seminar Year

Written by Parsons Green

What can you say about Jamie Taylor? Jamie became a Mary Kay nsd four years ago. She finished her area with the help of two consultants who placed product orders for items they didn’t need so they could “earn” the title of sales director. Cheating is common to finish the title of nsd, because no one would ever get there if they played it straight.

In the years since, Jamie has made sure to follow along with the Mary Kay motto of God First, Family Second, and Career Third. Let’s see how she and her team did in 2025.

Jamie and her team were a Gold Circle Team! Jamie and the downline ordered enough product for Jamie to earn $125,000 in commissions. (Remember this is before any of her business expenses or chargebacks for returned inventory). To keep her NSD title, she must have at least $100,000 a year in commissions.

Mary Kay then recognizes Directors based on “unit clubs.” The unit clubs recognize a pretend amount of products sold. The company takes all of the orders placed by consultants (wholesale value), multiplies that by 2 to get to theoretical sales value, and pretends all of those products were sold at full price. Nothing could be further from the truth, but we’ve been playing this game of pretending “our unit sold $__________” for decades.

Chelsea was Jamie’s highest unit club, coming in at $500,000 retail ($250,000 wholesale).

Rachel Ryan and Megan Coleman each had $225,000 wholesale.

Taylor McKnight only had $200,000.

Taylor talked about how close she was to becoming an NSD in 2020. Here’s was her director lineup from November 2024:

Interestingly, Melanie Stratton (top right) and Teresa Gibson (bottom middle) both lost their director titles since November. Also, Sabra Blevins, Darrian Zuspan, and Carrie Zuberer Cardwell all used to be in Cadillacs but are not anymore. Carrie didn’t even qualify for the regular car!!!

Taylor is still far, far away from that goal that she was “close” to 5 years ago.

None of Jamie’s directors earned the top director trip to Budapest despite all of the hard work. Not even these four top dogs, and none of the rest of Jamie’s directors earned a unit club title.

Jamie had ten directors earn the queen’s court of sales ring. This means they ordered $20,000 or more wholesale. Mary Kay does not track if any of this was sold to a customer. Based on the posting order, Darrian Zuspan ordered the most. Jamie didn’t recognize anyone for earning the princess court ring for $10,000 or more wholesale.

Jamie recognized six directors for earning the Queen of sharing bee. These directors recruited 24 consultants who placed at least a $600 wholesale order. An average of two a month!

Jamie’s downline works hard for her to get this $125,000 commission. How many faces did it take? How many unpaid hours finding them? How much discounting was needed? How many of the new consultants will be in Mary Kay next year? Is this hustle and stress worth it?

  1. “…to look like she’s kind of trying.” I actually read that as “dying” when I quickly read through it. I guess my mind is substituting reality.

  2. Excellent article.

Attractive women in gowns and beautiful outfits, with a background of cars and glittering jewels. Astronomical dollar amounts. Fancy-sounding titles.

    Don’t fall for it.

  3. Those pictures look AI-generated covers from a series of self-published and nearly unreadable romance novels.

  4. Trainwreck. Her strategy to only shoutout the higher levels will backfire. The foundation of her unit is the consistent $225 and princess court. Can’t shame people to do what you want. I’m so glad to be here with all of you to keep track of the full 25-26 year! This side of MK is way more fun!

  5. If I’m reading this correctly, the only director is Jamie’s line who completed a triple star is Princess Chels (500K unit club and courts of sharing and purchasing).

That is telling how fragile her area truly is.

What’s that saying about building your house on sand….?

    • And remember how Chelsea makes NO MONEY on the products she sells because she discounts them so heavily… usually selling for 50% off or BOGO (effectively 50% off). So she’s selling her products at cost, but she’s been putting those products on credit cards and she’s paying interest on those credit cards. She’s actually taking loss on product sales, even though the public portrayal is that she is selling tens of thousands of dollars of products and profiting, since we “buy for $1 and sell for $2.”

  6. “Jamie’s downline works hard for her to get this $125,000 commission.”

And all they get in return is certain debt, a damaged reputation, and fleeting hope.

  7. How much of their inventory is sitting on the shelf? How much of it is ‘old’ and been replaced with the ‘new and improved”? Of the $125K, how much did she REALLY make when you take into account how much she personally had to order to keep her title? Deduct Deduct Deduct
