Alyssa’s Seminar Year
Written by Parsons Green
Alyssa Cassels was a director in qualification on FIRE. Here’s her why story. (She was contacted by Devin Gole after she entered a facial raffle in a box at Baskin-Robbins.)
She announced that she was a new consultant on February 1st.

Funny that Alyssa was recognized as the #3 “seller” at this event, but hadn’t even had her first Mary Kay party. (As we know, they recognize only ORDERING, and pretend that’s selling.)

She held her first party February 14th, and had her first team member by the 24th.

Alyssa ordered her red jacket on March 9th. She shared her home office and attended career conference.

On Easter, Alyssa honored both Easter and Mary Kay. (Yes, that’s a cross made out of eye pencils!)

She was stunned that she earned a gold medal! She signed up 11 consultants in March. (The signup fee was $10). She also upgraded her inventory into a dedicated curio cabinet! Look at all that stock!

On April 17th Alyssa shared her next stop was DIQ! At this point, she has been a Mary Kay consultant for 2.5 months. She’s moving fast!

Alyssa entered DIQ in May, 3 months after she became a consultant.

On June 6th, Alyssa posted she needed just 5 more consultants to finish DIQ. Her team includes her two sisters, her sister-in-law, her husband’s cousin, and her mom’s friend. Yes, Alyssa did what everyone does in DIQ… gets the required number of unit members by “recruiting” family and friends to be warm bodies.

Then Alyssa weirdly posted that she had until June 12 to complete DIQ. This is odd because the DIQ process allows her 1 to 4 months to complete the number of people and the required orders of products. Why would there be a mid-month deadline?

Why the urgency to finish DIQ so fast? Her senior sales director is Pam Garner Moore.

Pam turns 65 in July – and that’s the normal retirement age for national sales directors. But, so long as she debuts as an nsd prior to her 65th birthday, she can continue in the position and be eligible for retirement benefits after 5 years. So…. Pam is trying desperately to finish her Bold National Area before turning 65. She must finish by June 30, or the party is over and she will never become a national sales director.

Pam has been in Mary Kay for over 40 years. Her 93 year old mother is still an active sales director. Her sister in law is NSD Julia Garner. Here are Pam’s thoughts at the end of May:
On June 10, Alyssa announced that she finished DIQ and became a director.

Pam was excited too, but no word on how many directors she still needs to finish her area. Could it be that Alyssa was the last one? Or is Pam still waiting on one or two more?

I’m sure that “HE” is working as hard as “HE” can to make sure this scamming woman gets her life’s dream.
Start the timer- let’s see how much of her unit still stands in a year or if she even has a unit.
So much money and time spent on so little of any real meaning. How much of all that inventory ordered for the sake of those “titles” ended up in the hands (and on the faces) of outside, paying customers?
How long before Alyssa realizes she was used? Let’s see how Pam treats Alyssa after her birthday.
Nothing to see here— move along.
WOW!
“I do all the pretty girls skin” is creepy AF. Does it get the hose again if it doesn’t put the Timewise on its skin?
If she didn’t get hit by a lightning bolt for the eyeliner cross, she never will.
According to her FB profile, Alyssa is an Engineering Technician with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Good thing she has a great job to fund her MK hobby.
I hope she’s smart enough not to quit it because when (not if) she loses her unit she’s still gonna have to pay off that inventory somehow.
She would be an IDIOT to quit her day job! She has a professional career that undoubtedly pays her an excellent salary along with fringe benefits such as paid sick leave, personal time off, paid health insurance, and a decent pension. For her to even think about giving all that up for MK would be an absolute disaster. Hopefully, her director won’t pressure her into quitting her day job. A number of her recruits will undoubtedly bail when they’re pressured into buying large inventory packages, and finding replacements could be very problematic. And if she’s smart and does her bookkeeping the way she’s supposed to, she should realize that MK is a very expensive business because of the expenses her director never disclosed to her. I’m thankful I didn’t quit my day job when I was in MK in 1992. I gave myself six months to make money and if it didn’t happen, then I was getting out. Best decision I ever made!
“On June 10, Alyssa announced that she finished DIQ and became a director.”
Today is June 17. She still shows as IBC on the MK website. MK is slow in doing updates.
You can’t finish DIQ in the middle of the month. You can only finish on the last day. MK recognizes director start dates as the first of the month. I’m not saying she didn’t finish qualifications early, but her director start date will be 7/1.
I figured out why the 06/12 date was so important to her – she was trying to finish the DIQ in 42 days which would have been a record in Pam’s area.
Are the new members locked in at least until 7/1 or if one or several drop out before that date and she can’t get replacements does she fail DIQ?
From Alyssa’s video “if she would have told me you can sign up and start a business for $10 I would have jumped on that so fast.”
You CAN’T start a business for $10. You’re not starting a real business in Mary Kay. 🤷
Why is her face always so shiny? Maybe she wanted to finish director before seminar? With her list of recruits its doubtful she will still be one a year from now.
It is concerning that her face is so red. It would seem, almost like she’s having a reaction to whatever MK she is using on her face. Not trying to be catty, but she may need a dermatology consult to figure that out. She will need more than her family to keep a directorship if it’s even possible then.
So what’s interesting to me… I know Pam is so close…but…. There are pretty strict qualifications for new nsds and their off spring directors… must have 30 active, minimum of $6500 in production for six months as a director, I’m wondering if there is a special plan for Pam…..

The Easter post with the cross made out of eyeliner is actually killing me 🥴 so cringey
Interesting that she is now requesting you to fund her beach trip… Don’t directors make enough to fund their own beach trip?
