Kelly Green’s Third DIQ Failure
Written by Parsons Green
Kelly Green, professional DIQ, has failed her third attempt at becoming a Mary Kay sales director. You can read about her previous attempts here and here.
After failing to complete her first month in January and February, Kelly and her team managed to complete month one in March. She and her team had to have at least $3,600 or more in wholesale orders to move to month two. She declared that this year’s career conference would be her last as a red jacket and she moved into April with a renewed outlook complete with a director tote from her director, Cadillac buyer Rachel Ryan!

She shared that the DIQ process has been the best personal development course she could have ever asked for. She’s named her unit the D.R.E.A.M. team.

Kelly is working her business hard. She drove four hours (each way) to help one of her consultants launch their business. However, she didn’t post an update on how well that consultant did on their launch. She spent more on gas than any commission she’d make.

Towards the end of the month, Kelly stated she is not a quitter.

She boldly declared she would warm chatter 100 strangers before the end of the month.

Kelly offered a giveaway to anyone who placed a $50 order. Like most Mary Kay giveaways, she never posted if she actually had a winner.

Kelly shared a post about the members of the team and why she named her unit the D.R.E.A.M. unit.

Predictably, Kelly failed month two. The next time she submits for DIQ she will be back at month one. She took to her bathtub to share the news. However, these failures are all part of God’s journey. She has a new perspective and more determined than ever.

Kelly, Mary Kay is a flopportunity and is not a viable way to make a living wage. Your constant DIQ churn only benefits your upline. If Mary Kay is your D.R.E.A.M. you need to wake up and find a new one.

All that “work” begging for orders…and she will just have to do it all again every single month. They call them pity purchases for a reason, and the fact that she is begging proves the point.
Spoiler alert: People don’t generally purchase MLM products from strangers. Also, relying on repeat pity purchases from F+F in unrealistic, especially given how MLM involvement strains those relationships. Nearly everyone in an MLMer’s life will celebrate the day the MLMer finally walks away from MLM.
At the end of the day, begging for MLM orders is not far from panhandling. Meanwhile, panhandlers likely have better luck than MLMers with getting handouts from total strangers.
Literally felt like I was panhandling every time I was “selling” and doing warm chatting and cold calling “leads”. The scripts they gave always focused on telling people how their purchase fueled my dreams, winning a trip/reward, or how it could help my family. Terrible advice. Any legitimate business would focus on the value add to the customer and meeting their needs.
What is so sad is how she is being convinced there’s something missing in her~ I was a serial Diq and when we debuted as a unit it was the first time my senior earned the trip.. on one failed attempt she told me that I wasn’t in alignment with God and there was something I needed to learn still.. how I wish I would’ve realized then she was not a nice person and didn’t know anything… and how difficult this “business” is to make money without crushing other women’s souls and losing your moral compass.
Hopefully Kelly has someone in her life outside of MK to help her realize she doesn’t need “the suit” to be all she is meant to be.
With the new 30% commission structure and my shop more and more directors are going to no longer be directors … unless they get rid of the minimum production requirements.. of course, it could all be by design to eliminate that overhead..
Kelly- ordering inventory that will never be sold and convincing others to do the same is not a career or a calling from God.
In her latest MK insta she says she’s rebranding and her unit will be now called the Swag unit, as she sits in a car wearing sunglasses and Soulja Boy “Turn My Swag On” plays in the background. Um, okay.
All of these “identity transformations” and bible thumping are just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Even if she did make it to director, it won’t make her life magically easier and it won’t erase whatever it is she thinks she’s running from. She’s still going to be the same person with the same problems (and still fake crying and unhinged blubbering) but with the added problems of maintaining a fragile directorship that will probably soon collapse. Then she has to start the DIQ grind all over again.
Kelly, instead of being a phony and a sociopathic parasite that cons women out of their hard earned money, get a conscience and get therapy.
Yeah, a Zillenial pageant girl reinventing herself as a hip-hop babe from 20 years ago, who probaby doesn’t know Biggie Smalls from a Bob’s Big Boy, is just the best way to appeal to the whitebread middle aged conservative religious women attracted to MK.
Mo money, mo problems
(Something the MLM hons will never need to worry about)
Hi Kelly.
It pains me, truly, that this is happening to you.
I will let you in on a secret that’s being done here on this side of the world. The NSDs, at least one, will help you by lending money, or by any other means so that she can retain her NSDship or earn the keep of her car and earn the trip. In the beginning you would be so grateful and it is here the trap lies. You feel so indebted to her that you would do anything not to disappoint her.
Another trap is that you would do anything not to lose face, among your fellow red jackets who looked up to you and admired you. By then you are so deep in debt because you have to show a facade of success and wealth in order to sell the dream to potential consultants. You will slowly devolve to be a liar, spin doctor, manipulator, silver-tongued Jezebel, adept in the art of fakery.
Kelly, I hope you read this. Be well and be safe from predators.
Sincerely.
Looks to me she’s already a well practiced fake manipulator. She puts on this vulnerable crying little girl act when she’s almost 30, has a college degree, works as a senior accountant for an NHL team, and is a national level pageant contestant. She’s full of it.
“she’s almost 30, has a college degree, works as a senior accountant for an NHL team, and is a national level pageant contestant”
She should be having the time of her life! She doesn’t realize how fortunate she is. She’s in a great position to meet people and make important connections for the future. I hope she doesn’t squander her opportunities.
Mary Kay is a waste of time and a waste of money. She’ll find that out sooner or later.
If she does hit director I wouldn’t be surprised if she quit her job. What a disaster that would be.
GURL! Please look up the definition of wisdom, gets some and use some! Please, for the love of God!
Totally irrelevant, but what is the obsession with Kendra Scott? Every single director I’ve seen runs some contest to win Kendra Scott- why?
Kendra’s mom was a Mary Kay sales director when Kendra was little~ growing up in the Mary Kay pink bubble…the company used to have her have a vendor booth at seminar where you could shop for her jewelry… and then she “partnered” with the Mary Kay foundation.. you could pay $60 for pink earrings and Kendra would make a donation to the foundation..
I could slap these women. You are so much more than a pawn in the MK Chess game.
GET A CLUE *Slap slap
SNAP OUT OF IT!
Disgrace to all women out there that are our own self, on our own terms an do quite well.
Ah, that makes sense! Thank you!
Question: do “the girls” start over with her or did she lose them all to Rachel?
Her personals always stay with her, all of her recruits recruits go back to the senior director until she becomes a director
My goodness! What a mess. You would think they’d at least get some sort of credit for the folks they helped swindle. Literally no “winning” in any scenario if you’re not at the top.
I don’t understand this.
So, Kelly doesn’t finish DIQ. Why wouldn’t her recruits’ recruits stay under the people who recruited them?
That’s a good question. Who goes with whom when someone becomes a director and when someone becomes a national. If the the DIQ fails or the NIQ fails, who goes with whom. If the failed DIQ/NIQ try again and succeed, who goes with them that time.
Y’know, they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.
