Naomi State is back to ask her sister directors for help. She meets guests at parties, and schedules a follow up appointment with them so she can share the Mary Kay flopportunity with them. Naomi needs them to join her team, because she needs them to order inventory to count towards her monthly production totals. If they don’t order, she’s has to make up the shortfall herself. (This is a constant struggle for almost all MK sales directors… buying extra products to meet minimums.)

She shared two recent messages from her guests. (I blurred out the name and phone number because she sure didn’t!) Naomi understands that they may say no after her chat, but she just wants them to listen.

Taryn Sneed tells the prospect she needs to conduct a certain number of interviews. Please let her buy you a coffee!

Charlotte Staggs learned from her nsd. Never take no. Keep asking.

Tami Deines also shared two screenshots (as well as the prospect’s phone number too.) She was going to meet her for drinks. The prospect cancelled on her, but wished her luck in the business. Tami asked if she could meet her for coffee instead. The prospect agreed to that, but has not yet cancelled.

Johana Giese suggests the prospect become a talent scout. Amy Davis McCann shares as much as she can with the prospect at the party so she can recruit on the spot. Tonya Folmar Gary likes asking for feedback.

Namoi can’t get anyone to agree to talk to her about Mary Kay, but she’s convinced she’s going on the top director trip to Rome next year.

Again and again, directors share in their own words how hard it is to find people to have parties. Those that do, show no interest in signing up for this business. Naomi, it’s time you realize – Mary Kay, people are just not into you.

  1. These poor targets. Trying to be nice while having zero interest in MLM. Any time spent is charity. Any subsequent purchase is pity. A little self awareness on the part of the MLMer would stop this madness.

But it seems the first order of business in MLM indoctrination is to damage or destroy that internal cringe-o-meter!
