Brook Bennett-Young has been in Mary Kay for over 20 years and is desperately chasing the brass ring known as the national sales director (nsd) title. She’s been going after the nsd title for years. Every year is going to be her year, and this year is no different! Time to ditch the sales director suit!

But Brooke’s track record with actually getting to the nsd level is not so good. Let’s look at what has happened in the last seven years.

At seminar 2019, she snuck into the nsd section and declared this was the place she was destined to be. What happened?

That year, she also earned the top director trip! She received a personalized video from the sales force team. They congratulated her and her team, but did remind her that they had one more goal to finish to earn the extended trip.

In 2021, Brooke attended a retreat organized by Krista Warner. This would be her final trip as a director before debuting as nsd. What happened?

In 2022, she and her team attended the first in person career conference after the company went virtual during COVID. She declared it would be the last career conference before NSD. What happened?

Now we’re in 2026. Brooke and her downline were #7 year to date unit in Sapphire with $506,546 as of mid-April. So she and her team are definitely ordering products. With a couple of months left in the seminar year, will she and her team work hard enough to get to the finish line – or will she again ask, What happened?
