Audacious Goals in Mary Kay

In late April, Somer Fortenberry updated everyone on her 2025 Seminar Goals. Like previous months, the April’s goals were audacious, unbelievable, and 100% unobtainable:

  • $59,780 Wholesale (70% away from goal)
  • 46 New Recruits (77% away)

Out of the 46 new recruits, only 5 had placed a qualifying great start order!!! This is the minimum $600 inventory order that counts towards the Seminar Queen of Sharing and Sales Goals. 89% of the monthly recruits are not considered qualified in the company’s eyes.

It seems every year is “Audacious April” for Somer. This was her set of goals two years ago. She needs to work harder! This year’s goals are even lower than 2 years ago! Shouldn’t things be growing, not shrinking?

The fake “retail sales” scoreboard is funny too.

As we all know, this doesn’t mean anything regarding sales to customers. It only relates to wholesale purchases of products from the company. The “retail sales” for Adrienne Hollifield and her company show, $346k, but this really means $173k of purchases of products, not any sales at all. Somer does not share how much of the “retail” total comes from Double Credit Production months… those handy little company promotions that boost the numbers and make things look less pathetic.

Somer did not debut any new sales directors in April.

You may recall that Somer’s mother-in-law is Pat Fortenberry, a retired nsd. Somer and her sister-in-law Pam Slate are one of only 14 nsds who was an offspring of their mother or mother-in-law nsd. Surely if you are an nsd, you know everything you need to know to ensure your offspring are just as successful as you were? If that’s the case, why did Somer need to cheat to earn her nsd title?

Kimberly Perkins exposed Somer for cheating when she stepped down from directorship in 2021 and finally as terminated in 2023. How many of Somer’s current downline are being encouraged to build their teams the same way?

If you’re currently in Somer’s downline, or thinking of signing up, would anything in these numbers convince you Mary Kay would be a moneymaker for you???

  1. And this is a National Sales Director, ostensibly the top of the heap, cream of the crop, all that and a bag of chips, the GOATs of Mary Kay, the less than 1%, the capstone of the MK pyramid.

    If things are this dire for Somer, you’ve got to know they’re going to be exponentially worse the further down the pyramid you go.

    Oh, and Somer? Very sneaky putting the goal before the actual so it looks like you’ve way exceeeded your goals at first glance. Shame you’re not fooling anyone with it,

  2. Somer must have missed the universal memo on goals: That they have to be realistic and attainable. Otherwise you have only fantasies.

  3. Wait for all of the miracles that will happen in June! The new directors, units making unit clubs, courts of ordering and recruiting… it will ALL happen on June 30, just as God planned. *eye roll*
    These audacious goals will be met, don’t cha know!

  4. Still can’t get over “Expanding our Hive.” The Hive was a Teen Titans criminal organization that was basically a cult.
